SUMMARY:TOTAMS Eclipse Gathering and in-person Course 05: The Overstory – Cycles of Inner Planets
DESCRIPTION:“I am a self-confessed eclipse junkie!”Daniel Giamario \nWith this in heart\, we are delighted to announce: \nTOTAMS Ohio Eclipse Gathering and Live Course 05!\nMake a deposit today to reserve your space! \n \n Enroll now\n \n \n \n \n \n Join us April 6-12 2024 at the Highlands Nature Sanctuary\, Bainbridge/Ohio USA\n \n \n \n \n \n The Highlands Nature Sanctuary is the nonprofit Arc of Appalachia’s oldest and largest preserve. Its heart is the Rocky Fork Gorge\, a 100-foot high steep-walled dolomite canyon with breath taking rock formations\, ancient white cedars\, grottoes\, springs\, and stone arches. It is known for its superb overnight nature retreats and spectacular spring wildflower displays. The Sanctuary is also just a 35-min drive south of Serpent Mound\, the most well known of the ancient mound structures in this area\, where we will visit to witness the eclipse. TOTAMS Astrologer and mound researcher Vivian Hurley who runs the Ancient Ohio Valley Earthworks Project will be our expert guide during this trip! \nIn addition to our eclipse and mound adventure\, this event will host Daniel Giamario‘s LIVE\, in-person teaching of Course 05: The Overstory – Cycles of Inner Planets. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n In this course\, you learn a one-of-a-kind combination of astronomical\, astrological\, and mythological wisdom relating to the Inner Planets\, Mercury\, Venus and Mars\, as well as the Moon\, that will greatly improve your abilities as an astrologer and expand your knowledge of Self\, others and the world at large. This unique and invaluable material was created by TOTAMS Founder Daniel Giamario\, who introduced this way of tracking and observing the inner planets and connecting with them the way the ancients did. This body of research has been acknowledged as truly groundbreaking since he first introduced it to the astrological community in 1997. The unique approach is only taught this way at TOTAMS. \nMake a deposit now to reserve your spot\n \n Enroll now\n \n \n \n \n \n Please note:\n* The course will begin with an opening circle on Saturday evening\, April 6. However\, we have secured our venue for a full week and you may already arrive on the afternoon of April 5 and occupy your room. \n* Should you be flying into Cincinnati\, a van will be available to transport you to the venue on both April 5th and 6th. \n*The event will cost between $1400 to $1800 per person\, depending on your room selection. There will be single private rooms\, shared rooms and rooms for couples. \nThis cost includes Course 05 (necessary for Level Two Full Certification)\, accommodation\, as well as transportation from and to Cincinnati Airport\, to eclipse location\, and field trips to ancient mounds including Serpent Mound. \n* We are using two lodges for the group\, so there are a variety of different accommodation options available. Contact our Course Coordinator\, Shiva Faranpour\, for information regarding your best options. Rooms will be reserved first come-first served\, based on full event payment. \n* There will not be catered food. The two large lodges have full kitchens which we will utilize communally. \n\nWe will include grocery store trips by van after your arrival at the airport\, so you have opportunities to purchase food tailored to your individual needs. Should you arrive independently by car\, please purchase food for your needs before your arrival. \n\nMore details coming soon!\n\nWe trust this is helpful to support you in making informed choices and will update this section as more information becomes available.\n  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n EVENT DAY BY DAY\n While the Total Solar Eclipse is the major highlight of our six days together\, there are lots of other events of note during these days: \nDay One\, Saturday\, April 6   \nIf flying\, travel to Cincinnati Airport\, by 3:00pm. Vans will meet you for transfer to event venue.  Dinner and opening circle. \nDay Two\, Sunday\, April 7 \nThis day is dedicated to Class One of the Course: The Overstory – Cycles of the Inner Planets. It will be devoted to the cycles of the Moon; sidereal and synodic cycles\, Metonic cycles\, Saros cycles\, and Nodal cycles.  This will be a great background for fully understanding the Solar Eclipse. \nDay Three\, Monday\, April 8 \nECLIPSE DAY!  This whole day is dedicated to the long anticipated Total Solar Eclipse\, the last of four eclipses criss-crossing the continental United States since 2012. We will have excursions to ancient Native American mound structures\, including Serpent Mound. Many have lunar standstilI alignments. If all goes well\, we will travel near the center line of totality and possibly observe the eclipse from atop one of the mounds. \nThe Partial Eclipse begins 1:50pm EST\, with about four minutes of totality around 3:08pm EST. The Partial Eclipse ends at about 4:23pm EDT: a total experience of 2hours and 32minutes! \nDay Four\, Tuesday\, April 9 \nClass Two\, featuring MARS. \nDay Five\, Wednesday\, April 10 \nClass Three\, featuring MERCURY. \nDay Six\, Thursday\, April 11 \nClass Four\, featuring VENUS \nDay Seven\, Friday\, April 12 \nDEPARTURE DAY.  Breakfast and closing circle.  Vans available to transfer participants to airport. \n \nCourse 05 Notes \nAlthough subject to changes\, course teaching days will generally run as follows: \nBreakfast at your lodge \n9:30am: class \n12:00-2:00pm: lunch break at your lodge \n2:00pm: class \n5:00-7:00pm dinner at your lodge \n7:30-9:30pm: Some evening classes are anticipated as well as excursions to mounds. \n \n \n \n \n \n THE PLANETS AND SKY\n Planetary Motions \nSUN                    17Aries38 – 23Aries13 \nMOON               22Pisces31 – 15Gemini37 \nMERCURY        25Aries50RX – 22Aries00RX \nVENUS               02Aries14 – 09Aries15 \nMARS                 11Pisces39 – 16Pisces05 \nJUPITER           18Taurus39 – 19Taurus54 \nSATURN            14Pisces15 – 14Pisces52 \nURANUS           21Taurus04 – 21Taurus22 \nNEPTUNE         28Pisces07 – 28Pisces13 \nPLUTO               01Aquarius56 – 02Aquarius00 \nN. NODE           15Aries37 – 15Aries35 \nS. NODE            15Libra37 – 15Libra37 \nCHIRON            19Aries17 – 19Aries38 \nVESTA                01Cancer54 – 03Cancer40 \nCERES                17Capricorn28 – 18Capricorn32 \n\nThe Visible Planets \nMercury \nMercury\, in its Sagittarian Overstory\, turned Retrograde on April 1\, and is retrograde for the entirety of our time together. It will not be visible. As our event begins\, Mercury will only be 10degrees from the Sun and well into the metamorphic transformation into the next overstory.  Mercury’s interior conjunction with the Sun on the inside track between the Earth and Sun is on April 11 at 7:03pm EDT at 22Aries32. Mercury will station direct on April 25 to begin the Aries synodic overstory. Wednesday\, April 10\, will be focused on Mercury during our live teaching of Course 05. \nVenus \nVenus has been in the morning sky since her heliacal rise in the Leo synodic overstory back on August 19\, 2023. As our event begins\, Venus will be near the very end of her descent into the underworld\, which happens on and about April 27.  A major highlight of our time together is the opening of the relatively rare eighth descending gate\, known as “Death by Intent”. This is associated with the root chakra and even deeper. The exact Moon/Venus conjunction at 3Aries06 occurs at 12:22pm EDT on Sunday\, April 7\, our first full day together. The morning conjunction may possibly be visible on the morning of April 7\, or even April 8; we will try to arrange as a group to see it\, weather permitting. Unless we can spot the conjunction\, or have a really low horizon\, Venus will essentially not be visible as she slowly descends into the Exterior Underworld. Thursday April 11 will be devoted to Venus for Course 05. \nMars \nMars is now in Phase Four of his Gemini synodic overstory and in the morning sky\, having emerged from the underworld on January 8. This is the phase known as Gemini Rebirth and Growth of Wisdom. Mars is slowly increasing in brightness and can be found 36-37degrees from the Sun rather low in the East. Another major highlight during our event is his conjunction with Saturn on Wednesday\, April 10\, at 4:36pm EDT at 14Pisces40. Mars and Saturn are quite close during all our days together. A Moon/Mars conjunction happened on April 5\, which opened the fourth portal Phase four\, remaining open until May 4. Mars will be the main feature of our Course 05 on Tuesday\, April 9. \nJupiter \nJupiter is in the evening sky about from 31 to 26degrees from the Sun in the stars of the Ram constellation on the way to the Pleiades. Jupiter is fast approaching his highly anticipated exact conjunction with Uranus on April 20 at 21Taurus51. The Moon conjuncts Jupiter on April 10\, adding a strong punctuation point to the Jupiter-Uranus alignment. \nSaturn \nSaturn\, in the morning sky\, moves from 39 to 37degrees from the Sun. As noted above with Mars\, Saturn and Mars are conjunct on April 10\, and are within a few degrees of each other throughout our event. They are travelling together in the stars of the Fish constellation. \nThe Total Solar Eclipse \nThe MAIN EVENT of our gathering! The Sun/Moon Conjunction is also exactly conjunct Chiron at 19Aries24.  Much about this eclipse will be covered in CLASS ONE of the Cycles of the Inner Planets Course (see below).

SUMMARY:Faywood Hot Springs Eclipse Gathering
DESCRIPTION:Join us for 4 nights at Faywood Hot Springs for soaking\, learning\, sharing and a journey to the eclipse path of the 2023 Great American Annular Total Solar Eclipse!\n \n \n \n \n \n \nWhen: October 11-15\, 2023 \nat Faywood Hot Springs Resort\,\nSouthern New Mexico\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n COST: $375/person\n \n \n \n \n \n (Does not include transportation to the venue\, meals or lodging) \n \n Book Here\n \n \n \n \n \n *Please note\, all cabin spaces are now full. If you would like to be added to the waiting list for cabins\, please click HERE. RV and camping sites still available! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nA personal invitation from TOTAMS Founder\, Daniel Giamario: \nOn October 14\, 2023\, there will be an Annular Total Solar Eclipse crossing North America\, quite similar to one in 2012. Both pass through New Mexico\, over Roswell and the Trinity nuclear site. At TOTAMS we love to ceremonialize eclipses\, and Faywood Hot Springs is close to the eclipse path. \nWhy Faywood Hot Springs? In the late 1990s I had lived for some years in the Mimbres River Valley\, just a few miles from the Hot Springs. The synodic cycle material which has become such an essential teaching of our school was sourced there. A friendship with the resort’s owner\, Elon Yurwit\, resulted in the construction of a large stone circle on a nearby hilltop. The Shamanic Astrology Mystery School held many events there in the 2000s. \nI feel it’s the finest Hot Springs I have ever experienced\, and maybe the only one with its own stone circle! And\, as mentioned above\, the location is near enough to the eclipse path to have the full eclipse experience. I intend to be there! \nAccommodations will be separate\, however event participants will receive a 10% discount on available cabin\, camping\, or RV options. Cabin bookings have to be made through TOTAMS\, while camping and RV bookings can be made directly through the resort’s website. Click here to view available options and let us know what you desire to reserve.  \nWe have booked space for 14 persons in the cabins. Lots of camping and RV spaces are available too. You can choose to self-drive to the event. Additionally\, we will secure vans to transport you from the El Paso/TX nearby airport at no extra cost to you. \n\n \n \n \n \n \n ASTROLOGY\, COSMOLOGY AND METEOROLOGY FOR OCTOBER 11-15\, 2023 at FAYWOOD HOT SPRINGS\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n WEATHER\n (based on statistical averages) \nTemperature: Day temperatures from 65-80 degrees; night from 45-55 degrees \nRain: only an average of 3 days of possible rain for the month of October. Only a 12% chance \nClouds: October is typically a very clear month\, and there is a 75% probability of clear skies \nHumidity: October is typically a very dry month\, maybe 8-10% \nWind: Compared to some other months\, it’s typically pretty calm\, at most 5-10 mph. \nFor campers make sure you bring gear to be warm enough at night. \n \n \n \n \n \n THE PLANETS AND SKY\n We will be meeting just before the New Moon and Annular Solar Eclipse\, therefore\, the sky will be amazing and our stone circle on the hilltop provides a 360 degree horizon under dark skies. \nMOON: As we begin\, a very old Moon is in Virgo\, enters Libra at 6:22 PM on Thursday\, October 12\, and only enters Scorpio at 5:04AM on Sunday\, October 15\, just before completing the event. \nMERCURY:  Mercury will not be seen\, being in the psychopomp phase\, on the other side of the sun in the Virgo overstory.  Mercury travels from 12Libra22 through 18Libra46. \nVENUS: Venus will be a blazing morning star\, 46 degrees ahead of the Sun! She will be past the entrance of the 2nd gate/6th chakra portal in the recent start of her Leo overstory. Venus travels from 2Virgo34 to 5Virgo53. This is between Regulus and Zosma in the Lion constellation. Saturn is in opposition to Venus at this time. Venus is very likely to be visible at the time of the eclipse. \nMARS: Mars will also not be visible\, as he is in his phase 3 underworld journey within the Gemini overstory. He travels from 29Libra53 through 2Scorpio22. Mars is squaring Pluto at this time\, as well as being close to the Sun. He is unlikely to be seen at the time of the eclipse. \nJUPITER: Jupiter will very much dominate the late evening and early morning sky.  He travels from 13Taurus20 Rx to 12Taurus55 Rx.  He is in a wide quincunx with the Sun\, and found among the stars of the Ram constellation\, near to Hamal and Sheratan. \nSATURN: Saturn will be a strong presence in the morning sky\, traveling from 0Pisces58 Rx to 0Pisces50 Rx.  Saturn is in general opposition to Venus\, and can be found amongst the stars of the Water Bearer constellation. \nURANUS: Moves from 22Taurus19 Rx to 22Taurus11 Rx. \nNEPTUNE: Moves from 25Pisces40 Rx to 25Pisces34 Rx. \nPLUTO:  Stationary at 27Capricorn53. MAJOR HIGHLIGHT: Pluto will go direct on the day before we begin at 6:10PM on October 10. This will mark the possible end of the U.S. Pluto return. However there is still a Mars in Scorpio happening. \nNORTH NODE: 24Aries53. This is near Chiron\, another foreshadowing of the April 8\, 2024 Solar eclipse that conjoins the U.S. Chiron. \nSOUTH NODE: 24Libra53. Within 4 degrees of the Sun\, thus making it possible to have a total annular eclipse. This is a SOUTH NODE ECLIPSE.  The South Node is also quite near Mars. \nCHIRON: Travels from 17Aries37 Rx to 17Aries28 Rx. Near the North Node. \nVESTA: Travels from 5Cancer52 to 6Cancer21 \nCERES:  Travels from 11Scorpio04 to 12Scorpio37 \nNIGHT SKY \nWith a dark Moon\, the night sky will be the best possible.  October is the ideal time to tune into the Scorpion\, the Archer and Galactic Center\, whether up at the stone circle or in the hot springs. \n \n \n \n \n \n DAY-BY-DAY NARRATIVE\n WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 11 \nWhether driving in\, or with our shuttle van from the El Paso airport\, the intent is for you to arrive before Sunset\, and we will have an opening circle at the stone circle. \nTHURSDAY OCTOBER 12 \nAt least two talks will be offered by Daniel and others. The topics will be on the Sun\, Moon\, and Lunar Nodes\, and a lot about eclipses. Otherwise free time to soak in the best hot springs in America and explore the area. We will gather at the stone circle at sunset. Food runs to stores can be arranged as necessary. \nFRIDAY OCTOBER 13 \nVery much the same as Thursday. \nSATURDAY OCTOBER 14 –  ECLIPSE DAY! \nAn early rise as we will need to head out to the eclipse path by 6:00AM. Possible lunch in Roswell\, NM. We will get back to Faywood by late afternoon. Nothing else planned other than sharing our experience. \nSUNDAY OCTOBER 15 –  DEPARTURE DAY \nClosing circle at the stone circle. \n \n \n \n \n \n JULY 29th UPDATE\n from Daniel Giamario \nHaving recently seen the movie Oppenheimer which I found to be really excellent\, I have been researching even more deeply into the paths of the 2012 and 2023 Annular Solar eclipses. Both have Jupiter in Taurus\, both entered the continental United States off the West Coast (Oregon and Northern California)\, and both crossed over the same area of New Mexico. Furthermore\, the tracks of both crossed Los Alamos Laboratory\, Roswell/NM\, Corona/NM\, Socorro/NM\, and the Trinity Site. \nCorona (!) is the 1947 alleged UFO crash site. Additional crashes occurred near Socorro. Los Alamos is where the Manhattan Project developed the atomic bomb\, and the Trinity site is where the first nuclear detonation occurred. UFO disclosure projects are heavily in the mainstream news now. There are so many back stories here\, many with esoteric implications. I have always felt that the eclipse paths are messages not to be ignored. Of course\, our October 11-15 in-person gathering will include driving in the direction of Corona to experience the eclipse. This is one of the larger contexts to our coming together. \nThough all of the cabins at Faywood Hot Springs are already booked\, there continues to be plenty of RV and camping space available at this splendid resort. October is fast approaching\, so consider now joining us to be part of our ceremonial observance and profound work with this auspicious portal. The healing waters of Faywood Hot Springs and a great stone circle are there to help with our work and invite us to play together in the embrace of powerful natural allies!  \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Cancellation Policy: \nThis policy refers to cancellation for any reason (Includes Covid19 related cancellations) \nPlease note\, all cancellations incur an administration fee of $100 \nCancellation on or before September 11\, 2023: Full refund will be issued* \nCancellation between September 12 and October 10: 50% refund* \nCancellation on or after October 11: No refund *(Tuition Transfer option still applies\, see below) \n*Tuition Transfer: Instead of a refund\, you may instead choose to transfer the full amount paid to another participant or have the option to receive credit to be used towards a future event or online course hosted by the school.  \nIn the unlikely event the school postpones or cancels this event for any reason\, participants will be issued a full refund (minus administrative fee) or have the option to receive the full amount paid as credit to be used towards a future event or online course hosted by the school.
