The Gemini New Moon at 06°05” will be exact Monday, May 26, at 11:02pm ET / 8:02pm PT. This Moon brings potential for us to connect to our inner creative muse from beyond the conscious realms.
Gemini in its highest, undistorted expression channels brilliant, crazy wisdom. This wisdom is available to all of us, so long as we allow ourselves to step outside of linear understanding and go beyond what our minds decide is ‘rational’ and therefore ‘better’ or ‘correct’. Let us not forget that 6000 years of patriarchy has certainly made it less easy to find our direct access to this place beyond polarity and duality. While many of us speak up in resistance to where such a suppressive system has led us, it doesn’t mean we are not still under its spell in some way or another. It requires daily tending.
What I see in this late Spring Moon is an opening to remember the pathway back to the brilliance of Gemini; The nature of freedom and a reality beyond the limits of rationality. A conjunction with Mercury with the New Moon, just a few degrees away at 02°20”Gemini, will surely help facilitate this opening. Currently in the psychopomp phase, Mercury has a very specific quality that shapeshifts into the psychopomp, a mediator between the unconscious and conscious realms. Since Mercury is in the Pisces overstory at this time, the potential here is amplified exponentially. Dream work and deep state meditation is highlighted in many places this moonth. Notice if the psychopomp shows up for you which is often symbolically personified in dreams as a wise man or woman, or sometimes as a helpful beast.
Remember too, that Gemini is a masterful communicator. Allow whatever wants to be expressed, to move through you and out on to paper or through your voice. Give yourself permission to express what wants to be expressed. With help from Pluto in trine to Sun/Moon/Mercury here, we have some harmonious support to bring forth what may be hidden in the shadows of the subconscious. Pluto is a masterful composter, let this be an opportunity to share whatever is ready to be released so that something new can emerge from there. It’s not worth letting old stories build up and become toxic. This is fertile ground for creating new pathways in the mind, both conscious and subconscious. Indeed, there is work to be done to keep the dream of a new world blooming onward.
Meanwhile, Venus and Mars, both in the early phases of their new overstories, will still be in trine during this New Moon (since May 22 when the trine was exact). Venus in the Pisces overstory has now reached her second descending gate, the third eye chakra. The emphasis here is again on going beyond the mind and to the place of perception past three dimensional reality. Venus will also conjunct with Chiron on June 1 which we may be beginning to feel the building effects of. Chiron brings healing to wounds, perhaps in this case to the wounds of many thousands of years where our connection to these states of consciousness have been attemptedly hijacked. We (and many generations before us) may have subconsciously handed over the metaphorical ‘keys’ to these states of consciousness, to an external authority that lets us know how or when we can go there. Take this opportunity to give yourself permission, to know that all of this exists within you now and that your ability to truly ‘see’ belongs to no one but you.
