The New Moon is exact at 10:54pm ET / 7:54pm PT on June 14 at 24°03’ Gemini. As you can see, the chart displayed shows 5:54am June 15 in Giza where, at that time, the New Moon (Sun/Moon conjunction) is almost exactly conjunct the ascendant, just 1° below the horizon. Giza, in Egypt, is the place on Earth considered by some astrologers to be the original prime meridian. For more info, explore Carl Munck, an archeocryptographer, who re-discovered an ancient geo mathematical grid on Earth with precise latitude/longitude positions of ancient pyramids, mounds, effigies, monuments, and stone circles. If we take the Giza chart as an indicator of intent for this New Moon, perhaps the signature offers further amplification, truly calling in the Gemini energies as the Sun rises over the land.
Gemini Essentials
Before Patriarchy, Gemini was considered the original version of who later became a hunter. Gemini was the one who became the animal, danced with the animal, and then the animal would sacrifice itself to the clan or give for its sustenance. – Daniel Giamario
Gemini shapeshifts in a way that sadly is often shunned and considered pointless childlike play. If we look deeper, we may recognize the wisdom and reverence of who later became the hunters. They were in a kind of union with the animal and were not placing themselves above their source of sustenance. Rather, they entered into the world of the animal as a way of honoring that goes beyond what our rational minds can understand in these times of separation from the Earth and our animal kin.
Archetypally, Gemini is known as the Trickster or the Court Jester. This essential energy is oftentimes cancelled or judged as being inappropriate on some level. The idea of ‘crazy wisdom’ has not fit into societal modelling in recent times. And yet, we all have experienced when we begin to take ourselves (or anything) too seriously, life offers up ways to awaken us to the cosmic joke.

A Need For Freedom
With a stellium in Gemini (5 natal placements), I feel experienced enough to reflect that this sign holds a frequency of a need for freedom in its own unique way. Gemini wants to know freedom that is not logical, linear or rational.
In its undistorted expression there is an ability to see all lines of possibility as truly possible! The image that comes to mind is a vast mycelial network – unpredictable, interconnected, without structure and; the master networker! Sometimes, that messenger might just say the thing you don’t want to hear but you might need to hear. It’s all part of Gemini’s job. I can understand why this energy can feel like too much sometimes, especially on a nervous system level. And yet, paradoxically, I wonder if this is the exact energy the nervous system needs to truly heal in times when so many are burned out from the misuse of a powerful part of who we are. Our minds, our attention and what we choose to look at (sometimes for hours on end) are now worth more than our own weight in gold.
Dancing Through Life
This sign can also be considered to correspond to The Fool of the tarot – free of care, never pinned down, dancing their way through life. And so, how do we work with this energy that is present and essential in the wheel of life? We must have The Fool present if we want to go on the journey at all! We must allow the mycelium to do what it does, to break down structures that have become old and stagnant through resistance to change. Mycelium looks a lot like a nervous system, connecting all the parts, and so perhaps this is an indicator of the medicine it carries. Perhaps the invitation is to allow for this energy and presence to move through us, through our culture, through our beliefs and become wise custodians of our attention.
In Harmony With Uranus
The beauty of this New Moon is its harmony with Uranus’ current placement and how this planet of great change and awakening is activating other parts of the sky. Uranus moved into Gemini for good April 2026 and will remain there through August 2032. This is a transit we have to embrace, it isn’t going away anytime soon. This planet brings unexpected change to wherever it touches and is currently squaring the nodal axis – the directional arrow of intent for all on Earth. This particular transit has been increasing in intensity and was exactly square on June 12, we will continue to feel these energies through July 27 when the nodes shift into new signs. Uranus wants change, Gemini wants freedom, squares require action. To resist this activation feels exhausting to even think about. Indeed, change can feel scary on many levels and we have become so used to the old way being ‘the way’, releasing our grip could be terrifying, until we remember, this is part of our true nature. In the end we’ll be so glad we did.
This astrological set up does have a shadow side to it which could led to deeper addiction to the screen, the robots, AI and everything else we know to be far from who we truly are – Human – which from an etymological view is literally derived from the root ‘humus’ (earth), mortals as ‘earthlings,’ formed from and returning to soil.
The Lower Octave of Aquarius
Gemini can be considered the lower octave of the other freedom loving sign, Aquarius. Pluto is currently travelling through Aquarius and will be there through 2044! This long journey gives the ruler of the underworld plenty of time to bring the shadow of this sign to the surface – to be composted and renewed in ways beyond imagination. During this New Moon, Uranus in Gemini will be trining Pluto in Aquarius offering a harmonious interplay between the two signs that hold freedom at their core. Indeed the shadow revealed is not always easy to see, especially when it is woven in with long held structures that become deeply distorted and damaging. May the trining energy of this particular aspect allow for the awakening (Uranus), transformative (Pluto) process to be filled with grace, ease and support. And all of this for the greater good as it links back into the directional arrow of intent – the Nodal Axis.
Venus’ Contribution
Lastly, Venus is featured in this New Moon chart as she entered Leo June 13 and now moves toward the fifth Gate – the Throat Chakra – in her ascending journey in the Pisces Overstory. The gates/chakras at this point in her 584-day cycle represent parts of the Inner Sacred Feminine that are being reclaimed after a long journey of death, rebirth and now, a slow rebuild and empowerment process. This New Moon, Venus will be culminating her work with the previous gate, the Heart Chakra, and prepares to bring this new-found energy up into the Throat Chakra to be expressed, beginning June 17. Neptune, the ruling planet of Pisces, the sign of this current overstory, will be making a harmonious trine to Venus at the time of the New Moon bringing in new visions and dreams from a place of love, compassion, empathy and unity consciousness. From here onward, Venus goes to have her meeting with the Moon just two days later on June 17. On this day she will directly oppose Pluto, the aforementioned planet of transformation and empowerment through revealing the shadow. May we all carry the highest, most benevolent blessings of Neptune from this New Moon portal as the Inner Sacred Feminine steps into the next gate and prepare to bring our voice forth in the name of peace for all.
