There is no easy way to comprehend the times we’re in now. AI and a multitude of competing and contradicting narratives make it extremely difficult to discern what is real or true and what isn’t. The cycles of the last few years surely offer lots of “reasons” and even astrological “excuses” for what we are facing. Let’s explore three astrological events that can offer clues.
Sun Conjunct Mercury

Upon turning direct at 8Pisces29 on March 20, Mercury shape-shifts it’s Scorpio Overstory that began last November 28 into the Pisces Overstory. Here at the Mercury-Sun conjunction, is the exact center of metamorphosis. The feeling function of perception, cognition, and communication is transforming from a personal experience of active and willful self-exploration (Scorpio) into a more giving and other oriented experience of empathy and compassion (Pisces). Mercury will spend 63 days in Pisces! It is passing between the Earth and Sun, off the world-stage, in the most mysterious of all its synodic phases. Though both Scorpio and Pisces are water signs, that is about the only thing they have in common.
Try not to fall into the common trap of ascribing challenges and confusions to Mercury Retrograde! What is required during this Mercury Retrograde is lots of inner work and offering compassion to self – with its necessary side effect of “not-knowing.”
Venus Conjunct Saturn

Venus is now quickly rising in the evening sky, just as Saturn is fast disappearing from the world stage, about to enter the Underworld. What message is Evening Star Pisces Overstory Venus delivering to Saturn, now beginning a month-long sojourn in the underworld? Maybe the suggestion to Saturn to lead with some empathy and compassion? Maybe to soften the rigidity and control? Can Saturn experience vulnerability? Just because you can does not mean you should.
Jupiter Stationary Direct
