This inquiry weaves together Jupiter Returns, the United States’ 4th Turning, and “comet” 3I/Atlas.
The United States is currently in its 20th Jupiter Return and has four planets in Cancer. Jupiter is to turn retrograde on November 11 at 25Cancer09, just after Mercury stations retrograde on November 9 at 6Sagittarius51. In this context, it certainly is noteworthy that the United States natal Mercury is 24Cancer11Rx (opposed by Pluto at 27Capricorn32)! Jupiter is within a degree of US natal Mercury from October 6 until December 16! Thus, Jupiter will amplify the US natal retrograde Mercury while transiting Mercury is retrograde from November 9-29.
I have long been fascinated by Jupiter Returns! I have Jupiter at 23Sagittarius31, and when I think back to my first Jupiter Return, between ages 11 and 12, I recall it being quite an unhappy time. BUT, the one thing I truly desired to do was read every science fiction book in the library, in which I succeeded! This established the imaginative framework for the rest of my life.
The Big Eye
The great attention placed on 3I/Atlas, with its perihelion behind the Sun on October 29, has me thinking greatly about one of the books I read back then, a book I never forgot. It is called “The Big Eye” by Max Ehrlich, published September 15, 1949.
Here is the plot: Astronomers detect a large planetoid entering the solar system. Dubbed “Planet Y”, they calculate that it will strike Earth in two years’ time on Christmas. Prior to this discovery, the state of the world is chaos, political unrest, the fears and fog of war, and fears of nuclear war – something like our present, really! While the rogue planetoid nears a geographical feature that looks like an eye, remarkable changes begin to take place on Earth: as doomsday approaches, wars come to an end, conflicts are resolved, nations cooperate, and spirituality becomes dominant. However, just weeks before the expected impact, new calculations show that Planet Y will miss Earth and that the astronomers knew this all along! It was a hoax, a conspiracy, designed to accomplish exactly what had happened! This book profoundly impacted me back then, and right now, I am thinking about it a lot – relative to 3I/Atlas.
The main difference is that the book has an idealistic theme, ascribing positive motives to a scientist-driven conspiracy. I am far more cynical and sardonic about our current scenario.
The True Nature of 3I/Atlas
At the moment, I am agnostic about the true nature of 3I/Atlas. And I am quite aware of the plethora of views. I have few reasons to trust NASA or many of the social media content creators. It was also soon after my first Jupiter Return, around 1962-63, that I first became aware that the US Space program is primarily military and black budget driven; early idealistic disillusionment.
Most know that the United States has been in its Pluto Return, fifth Chiron Return, and will have its third Uranus Return in 2027. This Uranian Return likely aligns with the Fourth Turning for the United States and the rest of the “West.” The previous Fourth Turnings corresponded with the Civil War and WWII. Jupiter Returns
Less well known is this Jupiter Return to the US chart. How will Jupiter in Cancer amplify the original intent of the United States? Will it be even more hegemony, manifest destiny, and military bullishness? Or will the United States spearhead an expanded vision of the Cancer Mystery School embracing the whole world and all its peoples? An expanded vision on the foundation of Life, Liberty, Inalienable Rights, and Virtue?
These weeks with the Jupiter transit over the US retrograde Mercury in Cancer could reveal much, or perhaps hide even more. Possibly we may find out the truth about 3I-Atlas, maybe not. This Jupiter Return has an even bigger wave coming after stationing direct next March 10 at 15Cancer05, with the Uranus Return soon to follow. Stay alert, do your inner work, and perceive the acceleration with as much equanimity as possible.
