As we are still in the window of the extremely powerful Aquarius Vision Quest Full Moon, the two most significant aspects of this week are being amplified!
Mercury Stations Direct
Mercury stations direct in the early morning of Monday, August 11, 12:30AM PDT, at 4Leo15. This commences the new Mercury Leo Overstory, lasting for 110 days until November 29, when Mercury will station direct next at 20Scorpio59 to begin the Scorpio Overstory. Mercury is slowly emerging as a morning planet, attaining maximum elongation of 18.33degrees on August 19, in it’s Apollo synodic phase.
This expression of perception, cognition, and communication is quite different from the previous Mercury Overstory which was Pisces. The intuitive courage and actional boldness of a Leo Mercury is to be demonstrated individually and on the world stage. Be willing to speak out, even the inconvenient truths, to inspire others to do the same.
The Venus-Jupiter Conjunction
Also on Monday, at 10:30PM PDT, Jupiter and Venus align at 14Cancer03. Appearing about an hour before dawn, Tuesday morning, August 12, will be the best time to see this expansive and inspiring sight at their closest, with Venus at -4.00magnitude and Jupiter at -1.9magnitude. They will be just 0.9degrees apart.

Though not a particularly rare conjunction, it is not always so wonderfully and easily observable if you get up before dawn. Traditionally known as the twin benefics, Jupiter will amplify whatever he aligns with. Venus is currently in her Heart chakra portal, and Jupiter is expanding her capacity in the sign of Cancer to attract the greater vision of providing sustainable nourishment to the global community, beyond your personal family, clan, tribe, or country.
This has great relevance with regards to the United States’ natal chart, which has four Cancer placements, including being in a Jupiter Return.
The four are:
Mercury at 24Cancer11Rx
Sun at 13Cancer19
Jupiter at 5Cancer56
and Venus at 3Cancer06.
This Venus-Jupiter alignment highlights the tremendous importance of the first wave of the Jupiter transit through Cancer from June 9 until his stationary direct at 15Cancer05 on March 11, 2026. Notice how close this Venus-Jupiter alignment now and in March of 2026 is to the United States’ natal Sun. Surely this initiatory window will reveal to us more clarity as to the fate or destiny of America and the world – as the Uranus Return approaches!
