Neptune reached its 02Aries10:31 stationary retrograde still-point on Friday, July 4, at 2:34PM PDT. As Neptune lingers at 02Aries10 this entire time, it can be suggested that this still-point lasts from June 29 – July 9 at least. This feels like the maximum Neptune effect. But what is that? The best descriptives for a maximum Neptune still-point include unknowability, incomprehensibility, and unfathomability. Neptune invites us to experience the “wisdom of not knowing.”
Starting Sunday and lasting until the July 10 Capricorn Full Moon, we traverse another maximum Out-of-Bounds Moon period too. Yes, Lunar Standstill season is still happening. A maximum 28S25South declination is reached by the near Full Moon on Wednesday, offering a rare chance to see the Moon cross over Galactic Center – something the Sun can never do!
US Westcoast folks might be able to see this around 9:00PM on Tuesday, July 8, just after the 6:58PM Moonrise. In Western Europe, set out to observe this rare phenomenon around 4:00AM on Wednesday morning. Wherever you are, a 97%-full and extremely OOB Moon at 27/28Sagittarius will be exactly aligned with the Galactic Center. This presents a great opportunity for releasing into the Black Hole vortex all remaining attachments to the materialism that is at its greatest density now, at the end of Kali Yuga. And then to receive the insights, new aliveness, and enlightenment resulting from the composting process.
The week ahead also includes the closest alignment of Neptune with Saturn (until February 2026), when on Saturday, July 12, Saturn stations retrograde. Saturn reaches 01Aries56 and Neptune will be at 02Aries09.
The overwhelming complexity of 2025:
the end of Kali Yuga
the Lunar Standstill
and four outer planets moving into new signs, with three in dynamic aspect with each other!
Attempting to make sense, in particular, of the initiatory intentions of Upper World Uranus and Neptune relative to Middle World Saturn and Jupiter, start to overheat the mental circuitry of this astrologer!
This week, I suggest a surrender to Neptune, and create allowance for not knowing. As infinite lines of probability stretch out in front of us, don’t mind if you cannot bring any into focus. Maybe that is the point of Uranus into Gemini: to go beyond duality, duopoly, and binary digital, into a sort of “crazy wisdom”.
“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field.
I’ll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language,
even the phrase ‘each other’
doesn’t make any sense.
The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.
You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.
People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.
The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.”
