The Scorpio New Moon at 28°11’ will be exact at 1:47am ET November 20 2025. Scorpio calls us down into the deepest layers of ourselves, inviting the shadow to be revealed. Scorpio season is the time to release, to let go of what is dead so that the natural, organic cycle of renewal can move in the way it is meant to. It is inside of the Scorpio mysteries we know through the feeling function. We are now nearing the end of Scorpio season. This Moon is a reminder to honor this cycle fully before the Sun moves on into Sagittarius the following day, November 21. And, as always, there are clues within the chart as to how best to work with the energies of this New Moon so that we can align and attune to the invitations …

Mercury
Mercury is almost exactly conjunct this New Moon at 28°27’. Currently retrograde, Mercury is making its way back through Scorpio before it turns direct on November 29 when it will begin a new overstory in this sign. For now, retrograde Mercury in conjunction with the New Moon could open up space to harness the energy of this time for deep communication outside of our usual habitual ways of doing so. Mercury is currently in its ‘Synthesis and Metamorphosis Phase’, meaning there is little to hold on to in terms of rigid set ideas and default ways of communicating. If we are willing to go there, this is potentially an optimal time to explore topics we know need to be shaken up.
Uranus
Uranus in direct opposition with this New Moon (and Mercury) quite simply adds to the flavor of radical shifts in perspective. While Scorpio takes us deep, Uranus brings in the unexpected. While this might seem unnerving to some, we could also see this as the perfect time to bring to the table the stuff we just can’t seem to find a way through. Be it projects, partnerships, ideas… finding the exact placement in your own chart could be a guiding factor for your inquiry here.
Jupiter
Meanwhile, we have the harmonious support of Jupiter in trine to this Moon at 25°01 Cancer (retrograde) and our good old friends, Saturn and Neptune at 25°12 and 29°29’ Pisces respectively. This grand water trine offers the continuing container (Saturn) to feel (Neptune in Pisces) and to be held in the amplified safe space (Jupiter). This is of course the idealized translation of such a watery set up. We must also collaborate with the energies so that emotions are held with tenderness, care, compassion and empathy. We might want to prepare for emotions that are full to overflowing, being able to move without restriction. This has been the nature of the times for a while now and so perhaps we are all getting the hang of this by now?!
Venus & Mars
Lastly, it is essential we speak to Mars and Venus in their current placements in the sky. Standing either side of this New Moon they are both beginning the underworld phases of their cycles around this time and slowly preparing for their meeting and exact conjunction on January 7th. Venus will reach her 8th gate, referred to as ‘Death by Intent’, the day after this New Moon on November 21 and shortly after that on November 25 finally enter the underworld. Meanwhile Mars is already there, having entered on November 13. This journey into the underworld for both the Sacred Feminine and Sacred Masculine, is divinely timed so close to the Scorpio New Moon. Again, it feels like yet another signpost pointing toward the places we are all being called to venture into.
A Tender Time
All together this Moon feels like a tender time. Let us all continue to move slowly and with intention and remembering to take extra care of our nervous systems with lots of self-care. Perhaps gather with your nearest and dearest around the hearth, allow yourself and each other to be safely held, witnessed and accepted in all your shadow and vulnerability so that we may continue to step into a new world rooted in connection and care.
