The cosmological energies keep building all week, culminating in an extremely powerful Full Moon. Like all Full Moons (and other oppositions), both ends of the resonate polarity need to be considered, not just the “Moon in Taurus”. Full Moons (and other oppositions) promote expanded awareness and the possibility of maximum clarity relative to the issues suggested by Taurus and Scorpio. The expanded awareness also can easily reveal what is hidden – the shadows of night.
Is it a Super-Moon?
Some are indicating that this is a so-called “Super-Moon”. Astronomers refer to this officially as Perigee Moon or even Perigee Syzygy. There currently exist a variety of different criteria for determining a Super-Moon status. The one most used requires the Moon to be closer than 360,000 km. This Full Moon, however, is 361,866 km from Earth at perigee. Additionally, the perigee was actually more than a day before the exact Full Moon. Consequently, I don’t think this qualifies as a Super-Moon.
Nevertheless, it sure is a particularly potent Full Moon, with at least three augmentations and amplifications.
Out-of-Bounds
The Full Moon falls on Friday, November 15, 1:28PM PST, on the axis of 24Taurus01/24Scorpio01. Just hours after exactness, the Moon once again enters into a five day period of being very far out-of-bounds, as much as five degrees North of the ecliptic. The United States election happened under an extreme South out-of-bounds Moon. The results of that election took many by surprise. My own view is that Trump, all along, was the intended selection of the powers that shouldn’t be. This was the unexpected out-of-bounds surprise. I think way more is to be revealed by weeks end, both surprising and unexpected by many. Should you spend time tuning into the Full Moon, the Moon itself is approaching the Pleiades, and the Sun has just passed through the balance beam of the Scales.
Saturn Direct
Also on Friday, November 15, at 5:20AM PST, Saturn stations direct at 12Pisces41. Saturn takes about 2.5 years to go through a sign, and this change to direct motion initiates a fast dash (for Saturn) towards Aries, reaching the important 0Aries degree on May 24, 2025. Saturn will then join up with Neptune, who crosses the 0Aries degree on March 29, 2025. The North Node is at 0Aries on January 11, 2025. Note that the United States IC is 2Aries.
Station points in planetary cycles create at least a three-day period where the function of the respective planet is amplified. Saturn teaches how to grow, change and evolve through limitations and boundaries, which might sound depressing. However, stationary direct can also be seen as a full-speed ahead time, predicated on having cleared the space of what clearly and objectively has not worked.
Sun in Opposition to Uranus
On Saturday, November 16, at 6:45PM PST, the Sun at 25Scorpio14 is in its yearly opposition with Uranus at 25Taurus14. Uranus was conjunct the Moon on Friday at 3:32PM PST, just a few hours after the Full Moon. And now, this is the yearly “Full Uranus”. This includes the expanded awareness of Uranus, but also the revelations of the unexpected, unplanned, and novel. The intention is to break apart structure, changing the “assemblage point”, and being propelled to other worlds. Think of being struck by lightning “in a good way”, or of the Tower Card in the Tarot as a positive and helpful card.
Maximum Uranus energies within a Full Moon time and an extreme Out-of-Bounds Moon amplify each other. I tend to think of OOB Moons as a combination of Uranus and Mercury retrogrades. Be prepared for the unexpected, unpredictable, and maintain flexibility without attachment. Saturn direct suggests taking action as new possibilities are revealed.
While likely not a super-moon, this Taurus-Scorpio Full Moon is certainly exceptional! Have the courage to expand awareness without fear, particularly deeper awareness of the body, and its needs and desires. Prompted by the Uranian factor and the OOB Moon, we may be in for surprises in what is being discovered.
