Mars and The Moon

On Sunday, February 9, a waxing gibbous and extreme Out-of-Bounds Moon aligns with Mars at 11:48am PST at 18Cancer19Rx. Although not visible in North America, as the conjunction happens in daylight, this is also an occultation, i.e. the Moon covering Mars, in the following countries (info from In-The-Sky.org):

Lunar occultations are only ever visible from a small fraction of the Earth’s surface. Since the Moon is much closer to the Earth than other celestial objects, its exact position in the sky differs depending on your exact location on Earth due to its large parallax. The position of the Moon as seen from two points on opposite sides of the Earth varies by up to two degrees, or four times the diameter of the full moon.

This means that if the Moon is aligned to pass in front of a particular object for an observer on one side of the Earth, it will appear up to two degrees away from that object on the other side of the Earth.

An occultation is like an eclipse and creates a portal – a focus of cosmic intensity and transmission. Such occultations are only possible when the Moon and any given planet have OOB resonances.

Additional Interesting Information

1) The Moon is near its extreme OOB at 26N59 declination and Mars at 26N13:24. Mars is two days away from its most extreme OOB declination of the year on Feb.11 at 26N13:38.

2) Mars is within the Roman numeral II of the Twins Constellation, just to the right of Castor and Pollux. Now at magnitude -0.93, Mars is fading from maximum brightness around January 15, when it was in opposition to the Sun and closest to Earth.

3) Mars trines Saturn, also on February 9, at 5:15am PST at 18Cancer22. This is quite helpful, creating some structure in the midst of such extreme out-of-boundness!

4) Mars is now in Phase One of its Cancer synodic Overstory that began January 13-15. Phase One is the time span analogous to a child’s first breath up to puberty in the human life. This phase lasts from January 15 – April 8 and includes four Moon-Mars conjunctions. This first Moon-Mars conjunction is analogous to entering kindergarten or the earliest formal schooling.

NOTE: Utilizing the signature TOTAMS approach, in Course 05 The Overstory: Cycles of Inner Planets you’ll explore the synodic cycles of Moon, Venus, Mars and Mercury and uncover the mysteries of these Inner Planets from both astronomical and astrological perspectives. Our upcoming Equinox Seminars will also be on the new Venus and Mars cycles!

Possible Implications

This unusual and unique conjunction and occultation can provide an opportunity to participate in the great project of evolving both Mars and Cancer into new archetypal expressions. Mars must move beyond a patriarchal-bound war and aggression imagery. TOTAMS suggests the strength and intention to not comply to anything that compromises or violates our personal sovereignty and free will. The Cancer Mystery School of Life (with Jupiter also soon moving into Cancer) needs to expand its vision beyond clannishness and infantile identification with country towards providing nourishment and security for all children and all in need, throughout the entire human family. Though certainly not in the sense of the inverted WEF and Silicon Valley oligarch globalism!

Overall …

this is a really great Mars-Moon alignment, worth seeing in the sky and utilizing to receive your own transmissions.

As always, question everything, and come to your own conclusions.
