“After a series of Out of Bounds Moons, we arrive at a revolutionary ‘Vision Quest Full Moon’.” – Daniel Giamario
A Full Moon is meant for illumination, not punishment. It is not here for us to blame our emotions or the experiences unfolding in our lives because “it’s a Full Moon.” Rather, it is an invitation to see what has always been there, waiting to be acknowledged. This 6°30″ Aquarius Full Moon lands on July 29, 7:35am PDT.
What is happening?
Time is a spiral, not a line, and within that understanding, perhaps it does not truly exist in the way we have been taught. The natural world lives in cycles. We have simply placed clocks and calendars over a world that has always functioned without them.
Why do we think we are separate?
There are three worlds, not one. The celestial world, reminding us there is something greater than ourselves. The middle world, everything we can see and experience with our senses. And the underworld, the depth of pure feeling that has been labeled as dark, frightening, or something to avoid simply because it cannot be seen.
I have spent a great deal of time contemplating my own fear of the dark, of what I cannot see, of the depth of the forest. I realized it was never truly mine. I was conditioned to fear it. I was taught that danger lives in the dark and that I should not trust it.
Is this not the same conditioning that teaches us not to trust what we feel? That everything we feel is somehow wrong, frightening, or something to run from? That we should choose logic over intuition every time our body tells us something is not right?
We have been conditioned out of the body, away from what is real, away from trusting the deep feeling-nature within us.
And yet we are born from the dark.
Seeds germinate in the dark.
All of Gaia surrenders to the dark before beginning a new cycle.
Why do we believe parts of ourselves are not doing the same?
Perhaps this is why we try so desperately to control everything we can see, avoiding the very cycle our Soul is asking us to enter.
We have been conditioned by society, the school system, and the patriarchy to live in fear, to participate in structures built from that fear, and to mistake those structures for life itself. Yet those very foundations are beginning to crumble.
So, what is crumbling within you?
Can you allow yourself to feel your fears without turning away? Can you trust what you truly know? Can you trust your own dream and the quiet signals your body gives you when something is no longer right?
Can you trust your own path enough to discover who you are?
Or do you condemn yourself when you don’t get it right, looking at someone else’s life and wishing you had what they have? Is that not what we were taught, to try harder, do more, and someday we would finally get it right?
Notice how much of what we hold onto is really the same story. We chase the same love story, the same career story, the same picture of what success is supposed to look like. But do we even know what success and happiness truly mean to us? Or have we simply inherited someone else’s definition, only to discover it doesn’t actually nourish our Soul?
Perhaps what we have been searching for all along is not success but belonging. Do we not all long to come home from loneliness and separation?
Maybe we feel so separate because we have forgotten our birthright. We have been taught to believe we are separate from the natural world, from our ancestors, and from Gaia herself. The very things that were honored and celebrated for generations have slowly been forgotten.
Is home not within us and all around us?
How safe would you feel if all you had was the forest? Or would you eventually remember that you belong there, tending the land, living with the seasons, honoring the cycles around you because they are the very same cycles moving within you?
Somewhere along the way we separated ourselves from who we are. We no longer practice veneration. We have forgotten the stories of the Earth, the wisdom of our ancestors, and even the stories of the ancestors of the land we now call home. None of this is lost, we are remembering now. This is now arising within us all.
This is the depth of the unconscious. It is not logical, linear, or tangible. It is the quiet language of feeling, the deep inner knowing we have been taught to fear simply because it cannot be explained.
Perhaps this is why we call it “depression” when we can no longer function as “normal.” But whose definition of normal have we been trying so hard to live by?
Are we truly this afraid to change? To surrender to ourselves? To surrender to something so much greater than ourselves?
A Full Moon is a time when the unconscious, represented by the Moon, is reflected by the Sun, the conscious. What has remained hidden within us is illuminated, not to judge or punish us, but to be seen, honored, and felt. It is an invitation to bring what has lived in the unconscious into our conscious awareness so that we can grow, change, and evolve.
How many Moons have come and gone carrying the same feeling, the same longing for change, the same quiet knowing that something in your life was asking to be different? How many times have you ignored it because change felt too frightening, choosing instead to cling to what felt familiar or safe?
But is it truly safe?
Or have we simply convinced ourselves that what is familiar is safer than becoming who we truly are?
We are waking up.
Nothing remains hidden forever. What has never been felt is asking to be felt. What has never been seen is asking to be seen. The changes we have been avoiding are becoming louder, not because life is working against us, but because our Soul is asking us to listen.
It is one hell of a ride.
But…
Welcome home.
Remembering Who We Are
The elements that exist around us also exist within us because we are not separate from the Earth. We are the Earth. When we begin to understand the elements and work with them, we begin to remember our own power. We can work with them or against them, and each holds the ability to create or destroy depending on how we choose to meet it.
Water can become the place where we drown in sorrow, grief, or addiction, or it can become the place where we allow ourselves to feel, to heal, and to honor the depth of our emotional world. Fire can become anger and destruction, or it can become the sacred flame that burns away what no longer serves us so something new can emerge. The elements are not working against us. They simply reveal what already exists within us.
So what will you choose?
We are living through a great shift, and until that shift becomes personal, nothing truly changes. We are energy, we are here to do this together, and we have all been given free will. Everything is a mirror. When we look at what we have done to the Earth, is it not also what we have done to our own Soul? We have covered it up, dressed it up, polluted it, and forgotten its innate beauty.
What are we doing?
After this series of Out of Bounds Moons, each one inviting us beyond the familiar and into something entirely new, what has shifted within you? More importantly, are you honoring it?
There is no doubt we are living through a great shift. Yes, astrologically, but even if you don’t know the astrology, we can all see it unfolding around us. None of us can deny it because we are not separate from it. The more tightly we try to hold on, the greater the force becomes, because what has been buried for so long can no longer remain hidden, either within us or in the world around us. Truth is rising. Change is happening. Old structures are falling away, and everything we witness around us is asking us to witness something within ourselves.
Returning Home – The Cancer Lunar Cycle
This is the Cancer lunar cycle, an invitation, if you choose, to feel. To allow the questions to arise. What truly nourishes me? What does safety feel like? Am I giving myself away in order to receive those things? Where is home within me?
This cycle asks us to honor the full range of our emotions without judgment while learning how to create a safe and nourishing space within ourselves. Only then can we truly offer that to another, and I mean ALL of life. But are we first offering it to ourselves? Do you not deserve that same love? Is that not your birthright? And if the Earth is the great mother, does she not also need our care?
Cancer is the Mother/Nurturer archetype. It is water, memory, emotion, instinct, and the subtle language of the body and the Soul. It asks us to become present with what is rising instead of trying to explain it away. What feelings have been quietly waiting for permission? What has been patiently resting beneath the surface, asking only to be acknowledged? Water remembers, just as the body remembers, and perhaps the Soul remembers too.
Cancer is the inner ocean we all come from, returning us to the Divine Mother within, to unconditional love. Yet most of us were raised in a world of conditions, fear, over-striving and overdoing, believing we had to earn love or prove ourselves worthy of safety. This is the womb of feeling, intuition, and emotional truth. Cancer does not rush. It listens. It senses what cannot be explained and knows what has not yet been spoken.
Our feelings do not rise to overwhelm us. They rise because they are asking to be witnessed. When emotion is seen and held, it softens. When it is honored, it becomes wisdom. Cancer reminds us that safety does not come from control or approval. It comes from returning home to ourselves, where care begins within and belonging has never required us to sacrifice who we are.
The Vision Quest – Aquarius & The Path of Freedom
As the Cancer lunation progresses, this is the journey we are stepping into now. And it is no coincidence that we arrive here under an Aquarius Full Moon sitting with Pluto while standing opposite Jupiter. This is an activation, an invitation into evolution, choice, spiritual will, and ultimately the freedom to become who you truly are.
Aquarius is the SELF journey of discovering that freedom has never existed outside of you. It has always lived within. But in order to experience that freedom, don’t we first have to understand what has been keeping us from it? Again, this is not a punishment. It is a revelation, an illumination, and another invitation to come home.
As an air sign governed by the mind, Aquarius asks us to step back from the stories we have inherited so we can become the witness. From that place we begin to see life differently, to think thoughts we have never thought before, and to discover that revolutionary change begins the moment we are willing to step outside the box we have been living in. Aquarius reminds us that every human being has the right to create a life that reflects who they truly are, honoring what is unique instead of hiding it. So, who are you following? Whose truth are you living?
As we continue moving through this Cancer lunar cycle, where are you giving yourself away in exchange for safety? Where are you sacrificing your truth for love or approval? Where have you tried to fit inside a box you were never meant to live in? Can you allow yourself to become your most authentic self, releasing the fear of not fitting in or not being liked? Where are you unconsciously giving up your dreams, your gifts, and your unique expression simply to feel safe?
Just three days before this Full Moon, the Nodes changed signs, marking a profound collective shift. You are not separate from it. It is as though our future selves are reaching back through time, asking us to pay attention. The North Node, pointing toward our collective destiny, has entered Aquarius, while the South Node, reflecting our collective past, has moved into Leo, inviting us to realign with original intent. You still have free will. You do not have to choose this path, but perhaps now you can finally see that you can.
Aquarius calls us toward the freedom of being our authentic selves. It reminds us that each of us carries gifts, talents, and perspectives unlike anyone else’s. We are wonderfully eccentric human BEings, yet our world has often taught us to hide what makes us different. But what does “different” even mean anymore? This shift asks us to think beyond the boxes we inherited, to question what we have always accepted as truth, and to discover that we each deserve to create a life that reflects who we truly are while cultivating authentic community. If every person has the right to live according to their own truth, how could we judge another for doing the same? We all read books, articles, and listen to podcasts, and there is great wisdom in all of them, but they are still someone else’s perspective. Perhaps it is time to begin writing our own.
The Alchemy of Pluto – Transmutation & Truth
This Full Moon sits beside Pluto, offering us the opportunity for a new beginning, to plant a seed that can only emerge through this revelation. Pluto is the planet of change, surrender, and transmutation. Yes, I said transmutation, not transformation.
Transformation can happen on the surface. It is changing your hairstyle or rearranging your life. Transmutation is something entirely different. It is a change so deep that there is no returning to who you once were.
Pluto takes us into the depth of feeling, into the Soul, into the deep feminine within each of us. It brings to the surface what has been hidden, what has been avoided, and what has been waiting to be felt. It reveals the truth, but perhaps more importantly, it reveals the shadow, what we have rejected that is actually our truth, not to shame us, but to show us where fear has been keeping us from ourselves.
Can you sit with your fears instead of running from them? Can you allow them to soften into love? Can you trust that what is falling away is not your life, but the parts of you that were never truly you? This is how transmutation happens. It is how we come home to ourselves.
With Pluto moving through Aquarius, we can no longer live in idealistic concepts while avoiding the depth of our own experience. We can no longer compartmentalize what we don’t want to feel or cover it with love and light. The truth is asking more of us now. It is inviting us deeper so we can see farther, becoming whole instead of fragmented, authentic instead of performative, unable to deny what we truly think, feel, and know.
This is why Pluto brings the shadow. Not so we project it onto someone else, but so we can recognize it as energy asking to be transformed. That is transmutation. This is not about someone else changing. It is about us no longer asking others to carry what we are unwilling to feel ourselves. Is this not another invitation from the Cancer Sun, asking us what true emotional safety really is?
A Greater Vision – Jupiter in Leo
The Full Moon and Pluto stand opposite Jupiter in Leo, the planet of acceleration, expansion, and spiritual growth. From the perspective of the middle world, the world we can see, Jupiter asks us to step into an expanded vision of what is possible, not just for ourselves, but for all of humanity.
Leo is the journey of discovering that you are, in fact, a creator. That every thought, every choice, every action becomes part of the reality you are creating in each moment. It is the path of cultivating self-love, autonomy, and sovereignty, realizing that the light you are searching for has always existed within you.
When we choose to become the star of our own lives, we unconsciously give others permission to become the stars of theirs. We begin to remember that we are not searching for love. We are love itself. Divine love does not require approval, validation, or permission to shine.
The opposition to Jupiter gives us the gift of perspective. It asks us to see what has been right in front of us all along. Where are you still seeking validation from someone else? Where have you forgotten that you are creating your life with every choice you make? Where have you stopped honoring yourself as whole?
Jupiter is traveling with the Sun, hidden behind its light, beyond what can be seen with the naked eye. Symbolically, there is still more truth waiting beneath the surface, more feeling asking to be acknowledged. As the Sun reflects its light onto the Moon and Pluto, what has remained hidden is illuminated, inviting us to see ourselves more clearly than ever before.
The Way Home
Remember, just three days before this Full Moon, the South Node entered Leo, inviting us to reflect on our collective past and everything we have inherited around power, identity, and worth. Where have you given your power away? Where have you taken power simply to prove a point or receive validation? Where have you made yourself smaller so someone else’s dream could survive while your own quietly waited? These questions are not here to keep us looking backward. They are here so we can recognize the pattern and choose something different.
To amplify this Vision Quest Full Moon, Venus, the Divine Feminine within us all, is moving through Virgo, reminding us that all three worlds are sacred. Virgo teaches us to recognize the patterns we have been living so we can create new ones. It asks us to restore what has fallen out of balance within ourselves because what we restore within naturally begins to restore the world around us.
Virgo is the Earth. It reminds us that Spirit longs to become matter, and matter longs to be treated as sacred. Perhaps this is what service truly is. Not constantly doing more, but honoring what is right in front of us. Honoring our bodies. Honoring the Earth. Honoring one another. Honoring the ordinary moments that become sacred simply because we are fully present with them.
Venus is ascending through the Third Eye Gate, reclaiming vision beyond what the physical eyes can see. She is inviting us to reclaim the vision of the Soul, releasing the distortions we have inherited and remembering what has always been true beneath them. This is felt here as Venus is adding energy to this Full Moon. Can you make room for what your Soul is asking and bringing?
As I have said throughout, perhaps this is the real invitation. To slow down enough to become present with our lives. To move beyond the stories of the ego and remember that love is not something we earn but something we are. To know, not simply believe, that life is connected, that the Earth is not separate from us, that the heavens are not separate from us, and neither is the depth within us.
There is so much unfolding right now. The question is not whether the world is changing. The question is whether we are willing to change with it. Can you trust what is rising within you? Can you allow yourself to surrender to the unknown without needing to control where it leads? Can you remember that everything this Moon is illuminating has always been guiding you home? Welcome home.
With Love,
