Aries Full Moon: The Golden Shadow

This Full Moon lands at 3Aries37 on September 26, 9:49 AM PDT.

The Light Is Fully On

What a time!!

We are in the first lunar cycle after eclipse season, and we are IN it.

A Full Moon is a time of reflection, a time when what has been moving within us becomes visible in our outer world. The light illuminates what has been hidden, allowing us to see the truth reflected back to us and our shadow cast upon the ground.

But what if what is being illuminated isn’t only the shadow we have been taught to fear? What if we are also being asked to see our golden shadow?

The golden shadow is a psychological term for the beautiful, powerful and creative parts of ourselves that we have pushed into the unconscious. We often think of our shadow as only the parts of ourselves we have rejected or judged, but the shadow can also hold the gifts, creativity, courage, brilliance and potential we have not yet allowed ourselves to fully embody.

Sometimes we recognize our golden shadow through what we deeply admire in another. We see someone living boldly, creating freely, speaking their truth or following a dream that moves something within us, and we believe they possess something we do not.

But what if what we recognize in them is actually something within ourselves waiting to be remembered?

How much of our own light have we hidden because at some point it did not feel safe to shine? Maybe we were judged or conditioned to fit in. Maybe we learned that belonging meant becoming who others needed us to be rather than who we truly were.

Sometimes we are just as afraid of our light as we are of our darkness.

And maybe after everything eclipse season has shown us, we are finally ready to see BOTH.

Still in The Virgo Lunar Cycle

Remember, we are still within the Virgo lunar cycle.

Virgo is Earth energy that is in service to Spirit. It is about learning how to bring Spirit into matter, to recognize it, honor it and worship it through the way we live. Virgo reminds us that our bodies and the lives we inhabit here on Mama Earth are not somehow separate from the sacred. Spirit lives within the ordinary rhythms of our existence.

They ARE the sacred.

Life itself becomes ceremony when we remember how to experience it that way.

Virgo teaches us to recognize all three worlds as sacred, understanding that the Underworld, the celestial realms and this physical reality are all part of the same sacred experience. But we must be willing to know these worlds before we can truly honor them.

Maybe this is why it feels so important right now to honor the entirety of our own journey and everything that has brought us here. We don’t have to erase the darkness to choose the light. We can honor the paths we have walked, the stories we have lived and what our bodies have carried because all of it has participated in who we are becoming.

And from here comes the question that feels so important right now:

How much of what we have been in service to is actually in service to our own Spirit?

To sacrifice means to make sacred.

So what have we been sacrificing ourselves to, and through that sacrifice, what have we made sacred?

Maybe we have made another person sacred while abandoning ourselves. Maybe we have made a relationship, belief system, institution, identity or commitment sacred simply because at some point we decided we had to remain devoted to it. We can spend years pouring ourselves into something that once had meaning without stopping to ask whether it still has purpose for who we are today.

Where are you giving so much that nothing is being returned to your own Soul?

Being in service to Spirit was never meant to mean abandoning ourselves.

We are part of the sacred pattern too.

And Virgo knows patterns.

Virgo recognizes the cycles and seasons of life and understands when something within the pattern needs restoration. We cannot continue weaving the same threads in the same way and expect the tapestry to change.

Through these eclipses, we have been given an opportunity to see the patterns woven through the Underworld, the celestial realms and this seemingly 3D reality we have created under the spell of everything we have been taught to believe. Maybe now we are being asked to consciously recognize those threads and CHOOSE which ones we want to continue weaving.

Because we are not separate from the environments we find ourselves within. There is no backdrop to our existence. We create and weave as we go, always in relationship with ALL of life.

And this is where the image of the spider keeps coming to me.

A spider creates its web and tends what it has created, but it does not chase everything down and force it into the web. There is something here about creating while also allowing life to meet us.

I wonder how much of our exhaustion comes from trying to force things into the web that simply aren’t meant to be there.

How tightly are we gripping a relationship, an identity, a belief about ourselves or an idea of how our lives are supposed to look because we are afraid of what might happen if we stop trying to control the outcome?

Perhaps the chaos isn’t here to punish us.

Perhaps the chaos is emptying us, showing us again and again what no longer serves while we continue trying to hold it together because it is familiar.

But what if the emptying is actually creating space?

What if we really do weave our reality in relationship with life, but part of weaving is knowing when to stop forcing the old threads into a pattern that is trying to become something new?

Can you ALLOW?

Soul Action with Mission and Purpose

And now, in the light of this Full Moon, Aries asks us what we are going to DO with everything we can finally see. Aries is Householder Fire, the actional force of the zodiac, bringing pure intentional Soul fire for our evolution. This is where we learn to become a total, complete and whole individual Self, trusting that we have the courage to follow what is true for us beyond the patriarchal conditioning that has taught us who we should be, what we should want and how our lives are supposed to look.

Aries asks us to express the creative force of our Soul, to follow what brings passion and LIFE through us and to act with Spiritual will. We are gaining clarity around our authentic beliefs and what our Soul mission and purpose may actually be when we stop allowing conditioning to decide for us. This is the reclamation of our life-force energy and our willingness to experience life passionately, spontaneously and freely as our own individual will becomes a catalyst for our evolution.

But this is action from Soul, not from the patriarchy or the conditioned mind. There is a difference between pushing something because we believe we should and moving because something deep within us is saying GO. Soul action may not always logically make sense because it comes from beyond what we already know. It is FELT within us. There is an aliveness to it, a recognition that something is true even when we cannot yet see where it will lead.

Aries brings us back to healthy sovereignty, trust and the freedom to be our authentic Self, while reminding us that choosing ourselves does not separate us from the whole. We can honor our individual will while still serving something much larger than ourselves. In fact, perhaps this is how we create a safe place for evolutionary change. When we choose peace, love and joy for ourselves as state of being, when we follow what is true and alive within us, we begin participating in the creation of something different for ALL of us.

Because what we feed is what we create.

How much of our life-force have we continued feeding into the wounds we identify with or into a patriarchal illusion that tells us suffering, sacrifice and pushing harder are somehow sacred? This doesn’t mean denying our wounds or pretending the darkness wasn’t real. We honor the darkness because it has shown us what we could not see before. But once we can see, we have a choice about whether we continue feeding the wound or begin feeding unconditional LOVE, a love that includes ALL of life and, most importantly, includes ourselves. We are here to remember that we are LOVE itself.

And because we are still within the Virgo lunar cycle, this brings us right back to what we have been committed to with Aries energy and what we have made sacred as Virgo energy. Maybe we have remained committed to something simply because we once said yes to it, even though the Soul has been whispering for some time that the commitment no longer belongs to who we are today. Obligation, conditioning and fear can keep us devoted to something long after the life has gone out of it.

So perhaps the question isn’t whether you are committed enough. Perhaps it is whether you are committed to your Soul.

FEEL into what has become stagnant and what no longer brings freedom, creativity or inspiration into your life. Notice where you continue giving your life-force because you believe you are supposed to, while something within you is asking to move another way. Are you inspired? Do you feel ALIVE? Because perhaps the new commitment Aries is asking of us is not another commitment outside of ourselves, but the courage to commit to the Soul and then take action from there.

And this is where the Libra Sun becomes the mirror, because our sovereignty does not exist outside of relationship. Libra asks us to see what happens to the Self when we meet another, and whether we can remain fully ourselves while still being in relationship with ALL of life.

Libra – The Mirror of Relationship

The Sun in Libra is reflecting its light upon this Aries Moon, bringing everything we are discovering about sovereignty and Self into relationship. Libra is Householder Air, and this is not simply about our relationships with other people. It is about how we relate to ourselves, to one another and to the world we are living within and creating. Everything is in relationship, and everything we choose becomes part of that relationship.

Libra asks us to discover the balance between our truth and the truth of another without abandoning ourselves in the process. This is where we begin to recognize the places we have shaped ourselves in order to belong, silenced what we really feel to keep the peace or learned that being accepted required us to leave pieces of ourselves behind. We may begin to see where we have not recognized ourselves as equal, placing another above us or ourselves above another, and how both become distortions of the balance Libra is seeking.

True relationship does not require one person to disappear so another can exist. Libra teaches conscious equal partnership, where we can collaborate rather than create hierarchy and co-create rather than control. We can remain connected without abandoning the Self. When we begin relating this way, something shifts because we remember that relationship extends far beyond another person. We are in relationship with Mama Earth, with our communities, with the realities we participate in creating, and with ALL of life.

So perhaps some of what is being illuminated now is where we have become co-dependent not only within our relationships, but with an identity or a reality we have outgrown. We can become attached to a job, a role, a belief about who we are or even an entire way of living because it once gave us safety, belonging or value. We can people-please our way through life, saying yes when something within us is saying no, believing that keeping everything peaceful is the same thing as being at peace.

But what happens when belonging requires us to stop belonging to ourselves?

This Aries–Libra axis is asking us to discover another way of being in relationship, one where sovereignty and connection are not opposites. We do not have to choose between ourselves and LOVE. Perhaps real love is spacious enough to include the truth of both.

And when we begin to understand that everything is in relationship, we begin to move differently. We stop asking only how we can fit ourselves into the reality that already exists and begin recognizing that we are participating in its creation. We begin to co-create.

This is where Neptune and Saturn become such an important part of the Full Moon story, because once we can FEEL that another way is possible, we are faced with something much deeper:

Can we allow what we FEEL within our Soul to become the reality we actually live?

Saturn & Neptune – Making the Dream Real

The Moon is sitting with Neptune and Saturn in Aries, bringing the celestial and earthly realms into this Full Moon story. There is something here about what we can FEEL within us and whether we are willing to allow that feeling to change the reality we are actually living.

Neptune, a planet of the celestial realm thins the veil between what we know and what we sense. It connects us to the dream, to Soul and to the experience of ONENESS that reminds us there is so much more than what we can physically see. Saturn brings that experience into this 3D reality and asks us to live it. Together, they remind us that the dream isn’t somewhere else. It is something asking to be birthed through us and brought into matter.

But sometimes we cannot create another reality while we are still trying so desperately to make the old one work.

There can be freedom within limitation. When we have tried again and again to make something move and it simply will not, perhaps the answer isn’t always to try harder. We have been taught that commitment means continuing no matter what, even when that commitment begins requiring us to sacrifice our own Spirit. But what if the limitation itself is showing us that another way exists?

Maybe this is why so much can feel chaotic right now. What if the chaos is not destroying our lives but emptying us of the reality we can no longer inhabit? What if we are being rerouted because we have been gripping something that our Soul has already outgrown?

Neptune allows us to FEEL what we cannot yet see, while Saturn asks us to trust that feeling enough to begin creating differently. We may not know what the new life looks like yet. We may only know that the old one no longer feels true. And perhaps that knowing is enough to begin.

This is where giving over becomes so important. We don’t have to immediately fill every empty space or know where every doorway leads. We can allow something to dissolve without rushing to replace it. We can honor the space between what has ended and what has not yet fully arrived.

Maybe this is what liberation actually feels like before we recognize it as liberation.

The lights are fully on now. We are seeing what we have identified with that is no longer who we are and perhaps never truly was. We are seeing what we have called sacred while forgetting that we, too, are sacred. And we are beginning to FEEL what becomes possible when we stop pouring our life-force into keeping an old reality alive.

This is not punishment. This is illumination.

We cannot be liberated from what we are unwilling to see, and once we see it, Aries reminds us that we have free will. We can choose. We can take the next Soul-led step without knowing where the entire path leads because perhaps the path was never meant to be known before we walked it.

The path appears as we walk.

Jupiter in Leo – Remembering the Creator

There is also a hidden connection between this Aries Moon and Jupiter in Leo, offering us another clue about what may be intended for humanity right now. Leo is the journey of Self-discovery, where we begin to remember that we are the creator and that we are both divine and human.

So much of our lives can be spent searching outside of ourselves for something that tells us who we are. We look for confirmation that what we feel is real or that the life we imagine is possible, when perhaps the deeper journey is remembering that the light we recognize outside of ourselves is also within us.

Jupiter in Leo expands this remembering and asks us to imagine what becomes possible when we create from LOVE rather than from everything we have been conditioned to fear. We are energy, and the reality we create changes when the frequency we are creating from changes.

Maybe this is how a new timeline begins. Not somewhere far away and not as something we have to wait for, but here, through us. As we begin living what feels true within our own Soul, we naturally give others permission to remember what is true within theirs. One by one, something changes.

We begin creating another world simply because we are no longer willing to keep creating the old one.

And perhaps that is part of what is intended for humanity now: to remember that we are creators and that we can choose the frequency of LOVE.

Your Golden Shadow

And this brings us back to where we began.

What is your golden shadow?

What if the light you have been searching for is the very light within yourself that you have been afraid to fully embody?

Perhaps part of what we are being asked to remember is that our body is not simply a vehicle carrying us through this lifetime. Our body is the vessel where alchemy happens. It is where we FEEL, where Spirit meets matter and where everything we have moved through becomes part of our transformation.

There has been so much purging of density, so much being brought to the surface, and perhaps we can begin to see this differently now. We are creating more space within ourselves for the light that has always been there. Not by rejecting the darkness, but by allowing what the darkness revealed to change us.

Neptune reminds us that our connection to Source is something we FEEL, while Saturn asks us to bring that connection into the life we are actually living. Aries gives us the fire to choose that life and to make a new commitment to our Soul, one that comes from purpose rather than obligation and allows us to participate in the betterment of humanity simply by becoming more fully who we came here to be.

This is where free will becomes so sacred.

The Full Moon illuminates. It allows us to see what has been hidden, but what we do with what we see is ours to choose.

Maybe we don’t need to know exactly what comes next. Maybe we only need to be willing to stop choosing what we already know is no longer true.

We have walked through the darkness. We have seen the patterns. And now perhaps the greatest illumination is realizing that the light was never somewhere outside of us waiting to be found.

It was within us too.

So perhaps the question beneath this entire Full Moon is not simply, What am I ready to let go of?

Perhaps it is:

Now that I can see both my shadow and my LIGHT, what am I willing to choose?

Beautiful Souls, this Full Moon feels like an invitation to stop fighting so hard to remain who we have been and to trust what is already changing within us. We don’t have to force the next chapter into existence. We can allow what has completed to complete and create enough space for what is becoming to find us.

There is nothing wrong with not knowing exactly where we are going. Sometimes the Soul speaks first through what feels alive, and the path reveals itself only after we have the courage to begin walking. Perhaps this Full Moon is illuminating not only what we are ready to release, but what we are finally ready to receive within ourselves.

May we allow ourselves to see our own light without diminishing it, trust what we FEEL and have the courage to CHOOSE the life that is asking to be lived through us.

The light is fully on.

Now we get to choose.

With so much love,
