Ever since I first met Daniel Giamario, and ever since I picked up the Shamanic Astrology Handbook I’ve heard a calling and felt curious of Callanish. An ancient stone circle located on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. An image that graces the cover of the Shamanic Astrology Handbook, and a potent vision that was shared by so many of Daniel’s stories of his greatest inspirations. Something that was so powerfully activating and inspirational to my long-time mentor became something that has fascinated me. Being someone who has been to a myriad of sacred locations around the globe, as well as researched many others, this one has been a location I’ve saved for a special time. Though I’ve personally been to a wide range of pyramids, temples and standing stone circles internationally, Callanish has been sort of preserved for me to visit until I could experience the timing it was created for.
The first time I went to Scotland and to this ancient site was this year in June. I had a very powerful and inspiring experience. I got to be there with Daniel and many members of TOTAMS. Though some of Daniels long time guides and colleagues have passed, it was an honor to be there with Daniel as the main guide as he had been there so many times and helped spread the awareness of the lunar standstill a bit more in the world over the years. For me it awakened a deep fascination with the lunar standstill or out of bounds moon phases that few sacred sites mark. This being most likely one of, if not the oldest sites marking the rare lunar phase, I felt a sense of its ancestry and very essence. An absolutely stunning experience to say the least.
Though last year was profound, due to weather we did not see much of the moon. This year, at the full moon in June 2025, we get one more chance to bear witness. Because of the middle point of the moon out of bounds, both last June and this next June are equally out of bounds. This gives us another chance to view the moon through the stones, and to see the moon walk on the land. Which is a part of a local lore. We are hoping for better weather. Regardless, it will be amazing nonetheless.
It is for this time, this midpoint of the lunar standstill season, that the ancients placed the Callanish stones for. Right now, during this Great Turning of The Ages (1962-2034), the moon cycle only happens four times, every 18-19 years and this is the fourth and last. Now is that time, and now is our chance to be a part of this significant experience. A potent time that won’t happen again for another 18 plus years, and not again at all during the Turning of The Ages window. This will be the last lunar standstill at this center point of a great shift in humanity, and the Full Moon in June 2025 is our last chance to bear witness. We invite you to join us!
We have put together a wonderful sacred-retreat experience. We will have late nights in ceremonial space at the stones, watching the moon through the stones and walk on the land. We will also have educational and inspiring circles in the daytime, including talks and discussions on astrology, astronomy, and cosmology. Added to this a Shamanic Breathwork session, Cacao Ceremony, and more, and filling our days with social gatherings and other bonding group experiences. Still, you will also have time to rest and relax if you’d like. All the while enjoying the atmosphere of the incredible isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Think rolling Scottish hills and stunning northern beaches.
Guided by Daniel Giamario and myself, Levi Banner, holding space for us all to be together, gathered for this powerful time as the ancients did, we welcome you! Join us under the Full Moon at its extreme southern latitude with these incredible ancient stone circles, aligned at a special time.
This experience is bound to be magical and powerful for all.
