Capricorn Full Moon: Out of Bounds, We Are The Ones

by Marianna Voulgaris | June 26, 2026 |

The Capricorn Full Moon lands on June 29 at 11:56pm UTC and is another Out-of-Bounds Full Moon!

It is the first Full Moon after the Summer Solstice, where we come to the great illumination of the Sun and witness what has emerged from the seeds planted consciously and unconsciously at the Winter Solstice.

Where were you then?

Where are you now?

What has bloomed?

What is asking to be seen, heard, felt and sensed?

The Out-of-Bounds Moon takes us off the ordinary path, beyond linear thinking, beyond familiar ways of being, doing and seeing. It introduces a wildcard into the stream of consciousness, bringing radical revelations, and opening pathways that previously could not be seen.

Full Moons are not punishment.

They are not chaos.

They are illumination.

The Moon reveals what has been living within the unconscious, what has been pushed aside, what has been operating beneath the surface of awareness. The unconscious is autonomous. What we resist will always persist. And what we feel, avoid or suppress eventually rises so that we may use our own free will to choose differently.

Evolution is not always comfortable. We are pushed to grow, forced to see, asked to confront what we have chosen and what we have created. Yet this discomfort opens a doorway to possibility. It opens a path that could not previously be seen.

This Out-of-Bounds Full Moon is a Moon of radical revelation and radical wisdom.

The Breakdown to Breakthrough

The Moon reflects the light of the Sun. It reflects our inner world, our feelings, dreams, intuition and unconscious patterns back to us through the experiences of our outer world. It reveals what we have manifested, what we have created and what we have committed ourselves to.

As we awaken, we may discover that much of what we have been building is not actually what we desire.

And that realization changes everything.

We are still within the Gemini lunation cycle, and Gemini seeks freedom. Not the freedom we have been sold, but the freedom that comes from seeing clearly. The freedom that comes from questioning everything we thought we knew about ourselves, our lives and the reality we have been living within.

Gemini reminds us that life is not linear, it is a spiral. We return to the same places, the same lessons and the same stories, yet each time we arrive with a little more awareness, a little more wisdom and a little more capacity to see what was hidden before. This is why so many people feel like they do not know what they are doing anymore. The old reference points are dissolving. The things that once felt important no longer carry the same meaning. The dreams we inherited, the goals we were taught to pursue and the stories we built our identities around are all being questioned.

This feels heavy because it is. We are not simply questioning a decision, a relationship or a path. We are questioning existence itself. Who are we? Why are we here? What actually matters? What are we giving our precious life force to and does it truly nourish us?

The sacred trickster energy of Gemini has a way of revealing that many of the walls we have been pushing against were never really there. The limitation was often a belief. The prison was often a story. What we thought was reality was often a collection of inherited ideas that we never stopped long enough to question.

Now we are being asked to become curious enough to sit in the unknown. To allow ourselves to not have the answers. To trust that the confusion is not a sign that something is wrong, but a sign that something deeper is waking up within us. The breakdown is not happening because we are failing. The breakdown is happening because something within us knows there is more.

Something within us knows the old story is ending.

And something within us is ready to tell a new one.

Rewriting the Operating Manual

Capricorn is a very different energy.

After all the questioning and unraveling of Gemini, Capricorn asks us to become honest about what is working and what is not. Capricorn is wisdom, and as Clarissa Pinkola Estés so beautifully reminds us,

“Wisdom is what works.”

Wisdom is not something we learn from a book. Wisdom comes through lived experience. It comes from walking the path, from the heartbreaks and the joys, from the mistakes and the revelations that slowly teach us what truly has value. It is the kind of knowing that settles into our bones because we have lived it.

The original teachings of Capricorn were never about endless striving or proving ourselves worthy through what we produce. Capricorn was the elder sitting in circle, listening deeply to the stories of the people, the land and the ancestors, before making decisions that honored the wellbeing of the whole. It understood that true leadership comes from wisdom, and wisdom comes from experience.

Yet somewhere along the way we forgot.

We learned to measure ourselves by our accomplishments. We learned that rest must be earned and that our value existed somewhere outside of ourselves. We learned to carry burdens that were never ours while committing ourselves to dreams we never stopped long enough to question.

This Out-of-Bounds Full Moon is illuminating all of it. Not to judge us, but to help us see. To help us recognize where our energy has gone, what we have been devoted to and whether those commitments are truly nourishing the life we are trying to create.

Many of us are beginning to realize that we have been living by an operating manual that simply does not work. Not because there is something wrong with us, but because it was never designed to nourish all of life. It was designed for survival. It was designed for striving. It was designed to keep us searching for something outside of ourselves rather than remembering what has always lived within.

Now wisdom is returning. It returns through our lived experience, through the stories of our ancestors, through the lessons and stories of the Earth, and through the quiet voice within that has always known there was another way.

Perhaps this is the revelation of Capricorn:

that wisdom is not becoming more.

Wisdom is remembering what has always been true.

Saturn, Neptune & The New Dream

This OoB Full Moon is not illuminating these revelations in isolation. The Moon forms powerful squares to both Saturn and Neptune, creating a tension that asks something of us. Squares create a crisis in action. They bring us to a place where we can no longer continue unconsciously. A choice must be made.

Saturn represents the structures we have built our lives upon. It is the reality we can touch, see and measure. It reflects the agreements we have made, the responsibilities we carry and the foundations upon which we have built our lives. Saturn asks us to become accountable for what we are creating and whether it is truly aligned with where our Soul is trying to lead us.

Neptune brings a very different invitation. Neptune dissolves the certainty of linear reality and softens the boundaries of what we thought was real. It releases the veil and opens us to the realm of possibility, asking us to trust what we can feel rather than what we can control. Neptune reconnects us to the ONE reality, reminding us that we are not separate from life but woven into it. Here we move beyond what the mind can understand and into what the heart already knows.

Together they create a profound tension between what has been and what is trying to emerge. Many of us can feel it. Part of us longs to hold on to what is familiar, even when it no longer feels alive, while another part can sense something new calling us forward. We may not be able to explain it. We may not even understand it. Yet we can feel it moving through us.

The density so many are experiencing is not a mistake. It is the weight of old structures breaking down, and inherited stories losing their hold. It is the realization that much of what once felt certain no longer carries the life force it once did. We are standing at a threshold between an old dream that is fading and a new dream that has not yet fully taken form.

Neptune is opening us to a new vision while Saturn asks if we are willing to build it. Not through force, struggle or striving, but through conscious choice. Every choice we make becomes part of the foundation of what comes next. This is how new worlds are born. This is how a new operating manual begins to emerge. One that is rooted not in fear or survival, but in wisdom, UNCONDITIONAL love, connection and the living remembrance that we belong to something much greater than ourselves.

The Great Mother Remembers

The same day as this OoB Full Moon, Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer. The Sun is in Cancer and Jupiter is completing its journey through Cancer, bringing the Mother archetype into sharp focus.

There is something being remembered.

Perhaps it is nourishment.

Perhaps it is belonging.

Perhaps it is the realization that we have spent so much of our lives searching outside of ourselves for something that has always been available.

We live in an orphan world. We have been taught that we are separate from life, separate from one another and separate from the Earth herself. We have been taught to strive for safety rather than receive it, to earn love rather than embody it, and to search endlessly for something that can never truly be found outside of ourselves.

Mercury retrograde is helping us remember.

Helping us retrieve the pieces of ourselves that were left behind in our pursuit of survival.

Helping us remember what it feels like to be supported by life.

Helping us remember what it feels like to belong.

The deeper question arising through Cancer is whether we can expand our understanding of family itself. For so long family has meant our bloodline, our tribe, our community or our country. Yet what if family is much larger than that? What if family includes all of life? What if Mother Earth is our Mother and every living thing is part of the same great story?

There is a profound reorientation taking place. We are being asked to move beyond the story of separation and into a living relationship with the world around us. To remember that we belong here. To remember that there is enough. To remember that nourishment is not reserved for a chosen few but is woven into the very fabric of life itself.

Perhaps this is what Cancer is trying to show us.

That what we have been searching for has never been somewhere else.

It has always been here.

Waiting for us to remember.

Galactic Center & Elder Wisdom

This OoB Full Moon is amplifying more than illumination.

It takes place near the same region of sky where the December Solstice occurred, amplifying what was planted consciously and unconsciously six months ago. What has taken root? What has emerged? What wisdom has been quietly growing beneath the surface of your life while you were busy becoming who you are today?

As the Moon travels Out-of-Bounds, it will move across the Galactic Center, often called the Heart of the Galaxy, the Golden Gate, and the great void of creation. To me, this has always felt like a place of transmission, a place where the wisdom of the cosmos meets the wisdom of the Soul. The Moon itself is a transmitter, reflecting light, carrying messages and amplifying what is ready to be received.

Perhaps this is what these transmissions truly are.

Perhaps they are reminders.

Reminders of the love that connects all things. Reminders from our ancestors, our guides, and the stories that live within our bloodlines, the Earth, our Souls. Reminders that we have not arrived here by accident, but have been guided here through every choice, every heartbreak, every revelation, and every cycle that has repeated itself until we were finally ready to see it differently.

We spend so much of our lives searching outside of ourselves for answers, yet wisdom is not something we acquire. Wisdom is something we become through living. It is born through experience and settles into our bones until one day we realize that what we were searching for was quietly growing within us all along.

I recently watched a documentary about the Kogi people of Colombia and one of the elders shared a teaching that stayed with me. He said that each generation knows less than the one before. I sat with that for a long time because it speaks to what so many of us are feeling now. There is a longing moving through humanity, a longing for connection, belonging and a deeper relationship with life itself.

Perhaps that longing is wisdom trying to return.

Perhaps it is the stories of our ancestors calling us home.

Perhaps it is the Earth herself asking us to remember.

What we are feeling now is not only our own story. We carry the dreams, the grief, the resilience and the unfinished prayers of those who came before us. This is why so much is surfacing. This is why the revelations feel so profound. We are not only healing for ourselves. We are healing for generations behind us and generations yet to come, and for the Earth herself, our Mother.

We are the ones our ancestors prayed for.

We are the ones who can choose differently.

We are the ones who can remember.

We are the ones who can create a new operating manual, one rooted in wisdom, connection and love for all of life.

Perhaps that is what this transmission is trying to remind us of.

Reclaiming the Story

As if all of this were not enough, with Mercury turning retrograde in Cancer on the same day as this OoB Full Moon, Venus continues her ascent through Leo at the Throat Chakra Gate. There is something beautiful about this timing because after all the revelations, all the remembering and all the wisdom rising to the surface, we are brought back to ourselves.

Back to the stories we tell ourselves.

Back to the ways we have learned to move through the world.

Back to the places where we have given ourselves away in hopes of receiving something we believed was missing.

Mercury retrograde in Cancer asks us to remember what nourishment feels like, what belonging feels like and what it means to feel safe within ourselves. It asks us to look honestly at where we have abandoned our own needs, carried emotional burdens that were never ours, or continued patterns simply because they were familiar. So much of what we call responsibility is actually exhaustion. So much of what we call love is overgiving. So much of what we call safety is simply what we have become accustomed to.

Venus moving through Leo reminds us that our voice matters. Not only the words we speak aloud, but the stories we repeat within ourselves every day. The story of who we are. The story of what we deserve. The story of what is possible. The story of why we stay where we have outgrown and why we doubt what our hearts already know. Leo is the self-discovery process of KNOWING we are in fact creators, we are divine light, we are love itself and we can create for creators sake!!

Words carry power.

The stories we repeat eventually become the reality we inhabit.

This OoB Full Moon is illuminating those stories, not so that we can judge them, but so that we can finally see them. Once we see them, we can choose differently. We can stop shrinking. We can stop carrying what was never ours. We can stop believing that our worth must be earned through sacrifice.

A boundary is not a wall built in anger. A boundary is a promise we make to ourselves. A sacred standard that honors our heart, our energy and our own lived wisdom.

Perhaps this is the deeper invitation of this Full Moon.

Not to become someone new.

Not to create an entirely different life.

But to begin telling a different story about who you have always been.

One rooted in love.

One rooted in wisdom.

One rooted in the knowing that you were never broken and never needed fixing.

Only remembering.
