These first weeks of 2026 sport multiple remarkable alignments. What I cover here is the 32-64 year Underworld Saga pattern of Venus and Mars, reminding strongly of 1962, and the intense Sun-Mars-Pluto relationship as part of it. Also we cannot ignore the final and complete entrance of Neptune into Aries, with no return to Pisces for another 165 years.
The 32-64 Year Underworld Saga of Venus and Mars
and The Aquarius Alignment.
Who of you remembers 1962? I very much do! I was 13 years old then.
- It was the year of the Cuban missile crisis that brought the world to the brink of nuclear war. School drills required us to get under our desks! I was designing underground bomb shelters and tried to convince my Dad to build one – for which I did not succeed.
- There was also a lot of excitement about the incipient US space program, with John Glenn the first American to orbit Earth. At that age, I was so into the space program.
- 1962 equally marked the arrival of the Beatles on the world stage. They were to have a huge impact on my life soon after.
By the late 1960s, having just become an astrologer, I became aware of how many astrologers of the previous generation had believed that the astrological events of February 1962 signalled the beginning of the Age of Aquarius. It is rather easy to see why they would have thought that. On February 4-5 1962, there was a New Moon / Lunar Eclipse in Saros 130 of over 4 minutes duration at 15Aquarius43, with an extremely rare grand conjunction of the classical planets: all five naked-eye planets plus the Sun and Moon, all of them within 16degrees of each other on the ecliptic. It was a South Node Eclipse with a nodal axis of 18Leo01–18Aquarius01. You can check out the chart in this article. Over the years I have had three clients born with this signature, which also offered the possibility of including an Aquarius Ascendant.
In more recent times, from my research, I do not think that was the beginning of the Age of Aquarius, the date of which being a topic I have covered many times. It, however, did mark the beginning of the time frame known as the Turning of The Ages. With the determination of 1998 as the true beginning of the Age of Aquarius (as well as Leo, Scorpio and Taurus with reference to the other Equinox and the two Solstice points), and by employing 1degree of the 360degrees of an entire 26,000 year precessional cycle, my research perceives 1962-2034 as the time frame of the Great Turning. Only 8 years left!
How does this relate to now?
How does this relate to now – the period of late January through to the New Moon and Solar Eclipse of February 17? Over the past several months I have been writing and speaking of the 32-year pattern of Venus and Mars and the various ways they interact with each other. They are currently in what we refer to as the Underworld Saga, where both are behind the Sun, off the world stage. In this Saga, Venus and Mars are never seen together from Earth. The current pattern in these signs and this season exists within a 384-year pattern that has been discussed in this vlog and this article. The most exact of all of them is happening now, and it is the last of this Underworld Saga within the 72 years of the Great Turning. Check out the chart of Sunday January 25, 2026. 1962 portrayed this pattern.
You will notice that Mercury is now also on the other side of the Sun, while in 1962 Mercury was retrograde between Earth and Sun. The most remarkable thing though is the Saturn and Pluto connection. The following information was noticed by TOTAMS Astrologer Ville Viinikka. Here is the chart of the February 17 Solar eclipse at 28Aquarius50 side by side with the eclipse of 1962.
Notice that Mercury, Venus, and Mars are in Aquarius and off the world stage, but Pluto has exactly replaced Saturn. You can compare pretty much any date in January and February 2026 with those dates in 1962. 1994 is interesting in its own right, but not quite like this! Another interesting difference is that the 2026 Aquarius Solar Eclipse is a North Node Eclipse, a more forward looking harbinger.
What can this mean?
It is quite clear how important 1962 was, and it surely is a fitting beginning to the Great Turning. It is also not a coincidence that happening as I write this, Davos 2026 is going down, where the world “elites” are intending and shaping a New World Order in their own vision. Will they get away with it? Or will they be exposed for the senile charlatans that they really are, exhibiting a psychopathic arrogance many can now see.
The Underworld Saga of the Venus Pisces and the Mars Cancer Overstories does offer hope of a new way forward, but only if we have the capacity to experience our grief and digest our trauma. Let’s reject the intentions of a small group of narcissists devoid of spiritual initiation or the development of values and ethics that come anywhere close to their technological “achievements” and commit to preserving our humanity with heart, emotion, Soul and Spirit!
