The 18Virgo25 New Moon lands Friday, September 11, at 5:26am EET (Giza time).

The Path Appears as We Walk
Maybe you are feeling it too. We have moved through A LOT during eclipse season. So much has been brought into the light, so much has been felt, questioned, revealed, broken apart and seen in ways we may never be able to unsee. And now we arrive at the first New Moon after eclipse season, in the darkness again, where we are being asked to come inward and FEEL before we rush toward whatever comes next.
We often talk about the New Moon as a time to plant seeds, but what about the soil we are planting them in? What are you planting? How are you tilling your inner soil for the new? What compost are you adding from everything that has died, fallen away or been revealed? There was A LOT within these eclipses, and maybe before we decide what comes next, we need to ask what needs restoration within us now. What needs balance and harmony? Can you offer that to your own Soul?
Can you be in service to your own Spirit and include yourself, what you feel and what you know within the journey of your own life?
Maybe this darkness is not asking us to fill it.
Maybe it is asking us to make it sacred.
Virgo • What Are You Making Sacred?
Virgo, at its essence, is not about perfectionism, duty or material concerns, although we can certainly experience those things within its shadow. Virgo is the archetype of the Priest and Priestess, the healer, the shaman, the herbalist, the one who recognizes the patterns of life and understands when those patterns have fallen out of balance.
Virgo is Earth energy that is in service to Spirit. It is about learning how to bring Spirit into matter, to recognize it, honor it, celebrate it and worship it through the way we live. It reminds us that our bodies, our homes, our work, Mama Earth and the seemingly ordinary rhythms of our lives are not separate from the sacred. They ARE the sacred. Life itself can become ceremony when we remember how to experience it that way.
But how much of what we have been in service to is actually in service to our own Spirit?
This feels like such an important question right now.
To sacrifice means to make sacred. So what have we been sacrificing ourselves to and, through that sacrifice, what have we made sacred? Another person? A relationship? A belief system? A program? An institution? An identity? Something we committed ourselves to long ago that no longer has purpose or meaning for who we are today?
Where are you giving so much that nothing is being returned to your own Soul?
Being in service to Spirit was never meant to mean abandoning ourselves. We are part of the sacred pattern too.
Reweaving the Pattern
Virgo knows patterns. Virgo recognizes the cycles and seasons of life and understands when something within the pattern needs restoration. We cannot continue weaving the same threads in the same way and expect the tapestry to change.
We have seen so much of the pattern through these eclipses. The patterns of the Underworld, the celestial realms and this seemingly 3D reality we have created under the spell of everything we have been taught to believe. Virgo honors all three worlds as sacred. Maybe now we are being asked to see what has been woven through ALL of them and consciously choose what we want to continue weaving.
We are not separate from any environment we find ourselves in. There is no backdrop to our existence. We create and weave as we go, in relationship with ALL of life.
The plants, the trees, the insects, the water beings, the winged ones, those who have passed and those yet to come are not outside of us. Mama Earth is not simply the place upon which our lives happen. We belong to Her, and we are part of one living organism.
We breathe in what the plants breathe out, and the plants receive our breath in return. What happens when we begin to experience our inhale as gratitude for the life we have been given and our exhale as an offering back to life?
When did we forget?
The sacredness of life is still here. Maybe it was not taught to us, but something within us remembers. It is within our bodies, our intuition, our connection to the cycles and seasons, and the signs and symbols continually speaking to us from dimensions we may not be able to see but can still FEEL.
We are remembering our relationship with life.
Can you imagine how different this world would be if we truly saw ALL life as sacred?
Pluto • Calling Our Power Back
Pluto is in conversation with this New Moon, drawing us into the depth, bringing truth forward and revealing what has been hidden underneath. Pluto carries the dark feminine principle of transformation and vital force, taking us beneath what we think something is so we can FEEL what is actually there.
Where have you given your power away to another person, place, circumstance or belief? Where have you put something above your own Spirit and then called that service, love, responsibility or commitment?
There is no bypassing what Pluto reveals. We have to feel what needs to be felt, see what needs to be seen and honor what needs to be honored so we can give over what has become compost and reconnect with what is trying to come through us.
We are being emptied.
Maybe that is why so many of us are exhausted.
We are making room for the light of the Soul, and the personality is struggling. The personality wants to know. It wants a plan. It wants certainty. It wants to know who we will be, where we are going and what happens next.
But what if we don’t fill the space?
What if we cultivate it?
The Body as Vessel
Virgo is Earth. It brings us back into the body, and perhaps we are beginning to understand the body differently too. The body is not simply a vehicle we use to move through this life. The body is a vessel.
This is where Spirit enters matter.
What if restoration is part of our sacred service? What if resting, nourishing ourselves, moving our bodies, breathing, crying, touching the Earth, listening and allowing ourselves to FEEL are not things we do after everything else is finished but part of the ceremony itself?
What does your body know right now?
What needs balance, harmony and restoration within your life so you can become a clear vessel for what is trying to move through you? What is your sacred service when you move away from what you thought you should do, what you were conditioned to do, or what another person told you your life was supposed to be?
Maybe we are not being emptied so there can be nothing.
Maybe we are being emptied so we can finally hear and actually become full with our true light.
Venus in Scorpio • The Return of Aliveness
Venus, the Divine Feminine within us ALL, is moving through Scorpio, bringing us into the feeling, the truth and the vital-force energy of life itself. Venus is ascending, reclaiming expanded awareness with intent, the conscious choice to see from a greater perspective while still remaining fully connected to what we FEEL within our bodies.
Here at this gate, perhaps we are remembering through the body that we are capable of holding more than one reality, perspective or state of being. We are bridge people, connectors, adaptable and able to navigate many different realities without allowing another person or reality to define who we are. Expanded awareness gives us the ability to see from many perspectives while still consciously choosing the reality we are here to create.
Scorpio knows the cycles of death and rebirth. It understands that empowerment comes through our willingness to let go, to FEEL it all and to bring light into the shadow rather than turning away from it. Scorpio takes us deeper so we can expand farther. This is the pendulum swing of evolution. Perhaps we cannot reclaim an expanded awareness without first being willing to descend into the truth of what is here.
What makes you FEEL alive?
Where have you given that aliveness away?
What have you continued gripping because you believed you needed to hold onto it in order for it to remain yours?
Scorpio reminds us that what is truly ours does not need to be imprisoned within our hands. There are moments when our power returns precisely because we are willing to open them.
Allow. Let go. Breathe.
There is sacredness within the depth too, and Virgo understands this. This is where we give over to the mystery while the ego desperately wants to know.
I read something the other day that really stayed with me:
The path appears as we walk.
What if we walk with intention? Awake. Present. FEELING it all. Can we allow the path to reveal itself without attaching ourselves to what we think it is supposed to look like?
When we walk with integrity, aligned with our truth and our authentic Self, perhaps the path does not need to be known before we take the next step.
We are part of the greater mystery itself. We are not separate from it. We inform the mystery as much as the mystery informs us.
And maybe this is where we have to ask ourselves: How many times do I need to repeat the same thing before I choose differently?
Sometimes the Soul road becomes the path of most resistance to the conditioned mind and ego. Not because the Soul is asking us to suffer, but because choosing what is true can feel incredibly uncomfortable to the part of us conditioned to remain with what is familiar.
Virgo gives over the ego to truly be in service to Spirit. Not to disappear. Not to sacrifice the Self. But to become clear enough to recognize the sacred path unfolding beneath our feet as we walk it.
The Sacred Compost
This brings us back to the soil.
Compost is not something useless or wrong. It is life that has completed one form and is becoming nourishment for another. Maybe this is what is happening within us now.
Old identities, relationships, beliefs, programs, patterns, expectations and ways of being are becoming compost. We don’t have to hate them. We don’t have to judge ourselves for having lived them. We can honor what they gave us and allow what has completed to become nourishment for what wants to live now.
To sacrifice is to make sacred.
Perhaps this is the sacrifice being asked of us. This is not sacrificing ourselves, but making sacred what has completed by giving it back to the Earth of our own being and allowing it to feed something new.
Creation begins in darkness.
The seed breaks open beneath the soil where no one can see it. The womb creates in darkness. The Earth transforms death into life in darkness. We do not need to see what is happening for life to already be becoming.
What if the emptiness is not evidence that something is missing?
What if it is room for what is emerging?
What Are You Planting?
So here we are, within the darkness of the first New Moon after eclipse season, perhaps not being asked to immediately create another version of ourselves but to tend the soil from which that Self will emerge.
What needs restoration within you now? What needs balance? What needs to become compost? What have you made sacred that no longer belongs at the altar of your life? What happens when you call your energy back and become devoted to your own Spirit again?
Maybe our Soul missions are not something we need to search for.
Maybe we need to become quiet enough, empty enough and connected enough to allow them to come to us through us.
We are ALL here together, each with a gift, each with a sacred service, weaving this reality as we go. We are not separate from Mama Earth, Spirit, Soul, one another or any sentient being. There is no backdrop. There is only this living web we are continually participating within.
There may be layers of breakdown because there are layers of breakthrough. There may be more to feel because there is more of ourselves to reclaim. There may be things we can no longer carry because our hands need to be open for what is coming.
We are breaking open to the light that reveals the truth of who we are, and everything false is being questioned.
Let it become compost. Let it make the soil rich. Let yourself rest. Let yourself FEEL.
And as you sit within this New Moon darkness, ask your Soul:
What am I making sacred now?
With love as we walk this Soul road together.
