From September 11-17 a small and extremely engaged group of long-time certified practitioners, apprentices and newcomers convened at Faywood Hot Springs. This year, we had decided to not run an official course, but rather create a gathering for anyone interested in TOTAMS Astrology, stone circles, cosmology, and hot springs! This has become an annual event, and I hope it will continue to be so, as the space for our clan to come together in a place that I love so much.
Perhaps it was wise foresight to not present this as an official Courses 4&5 certification level event. I have been to Faywood Hot Springs countless times during September, and usually it’s an ideal time to be there. However, this time round there was only one night with clear night sky. Almost every night had immense and spectacular thunderstorms and heavy rain! It was also a good 10° hotter than usual. Fortunately, this did not detract from the love and personal connections that happen when our clan meets in person and we share Heart-to-Heart, Soul-to-Soul.
The Stone Circle: Even Greater Geomantic Power

One of our intentions was to slightly move, i.e. set to greater exactness, the Capricorn Solstice Moonset altar stone, which we placed last year. Despite the night of the extreme southern moonset being the night of the strongest storm, we did indeed manage to move the stone! Time will tell if it’s now exactly placed for the Lunar Standstill.
Our stone circle now has four altar stones for the Cancer and Capricorn Lunar Standstill Moon risings and settings. These altar stones are in addition to the 13 stones of the circle: one in the center and 12 stones representing the 12 Mystery Schools of Life.
Due to the wisdom and inspiration Gemini Brett brought with him in 2025, the circle can now be used in two ways:
It can represent placing your chart on the ground, or
help with learning the movements of the rising of the zodiacal constellations from East to West.
The North stone, directly underneath Polaris, now represents the Cancer Mystery School, rather than Capricorn. However, whichever direction you take, clockwise or counter-clockwise, the East Equinox stone is always the Aries Mystery School, and the West Equinox stone is always the Libra Mystery School! This contributes to an even greater magical geomantic power. At 32.30° North latitude, it already previously had the unique feature of the four stones necessary to make a 12-stone circle being nearly equidistantly spaced with the four cardinal stones and the four Solstice sunrise and sunset stones. All in all, in my experience this is the ideal site for learning the night sky of the Northern Hemisphere. Find more details and the backstory on the Faywood Hot Springs Stone Circle here.
Documentary In The Making
Additionally, we had the privilege of hosting two brilliant videographers, Raul and Dimitri (Dima), who chronicled the event, punctuated by in depth interviews with Lizzie, me, and many of our participants. These guys fitted in so well with our group and were perfectly suited to create a documentary on our school. This became possible through Kjerstin Erickson who provided funding for this project. She also attended our Faywood event herself, and we are so fortunate that she shares the vision and intent of the Turning of The Ages Mystery School. We have so much gratitude for her generosity! Lizzie Kay Moon, our school’s Financial Steward, did an amazing job managing the event.
Our plan is certainly to have another September Faywood Hot Springs event in 2027, which may include the clan gathering as well as an in-person Course 4&5. Stay tuned.
