Venus
On February 7th Venus meets with the Moon in the morning sky at 19 Capricorn 05, marking her arrival at the 6th gate (associated with the 2nd chakra) in her Leo Overstory descent journey. Let’s take a look at the Sabian and Chandra symbols for this Capricorn 20 degree.

“A hidden choir is singing during a religious service.
Keynote: The fulfillment of the individual’s creative function through participation in a group performance consecrated to a transcendent realization of unity.
In great cathedrals and other religious edifices the choir is normally hidden behind the altar or above the nave. It symbolizes thus more perfectly the supernal harmony of “heaven” — or the music of the spheres. The ideal of social participation is exalted to its highest manifestation, for the choir also represents the multifaceted and polyphonic unity of the community in its transcendent state of perfect harmony. Bringing forward our multi-faceted gifts
How has access to our deepest creative core been blocked or distorted? The threads of disconnection, for most if not all of us, lead far back into the ancient past, both genetic and cultural. Liberating ourselves at this deepest level opens the possibility of bringing forward our multi-faceted gifts in harmony with others, in a vision informed by the highest levels of spiritual awakening.
We have lots of help available for our journey this month, as we face the primal challenge of surrender at a core level. Venus and the Moon, as they open the vortex of this reproductive chakra gate, are in a very close trine to Uranus in Taurus. We are urged to embrace the tsunamis of change, personally and collectively, to activate the life-giving creativity buried deep within. In yet another striking synchronicity (which seem to be proliferating wildly in our current cosmological roller coaster ride), the position of Uranus on January 27, when it restarted its forward motion, was in an exact trine, by degree and minute, to this Venus gate.
Because planets slow down when changing direction, Uranus inhabited this 19 Taurus 05 point for almost 10 days, and was in this Taurus 20 degree frequency for a whopping 14 weeks. For comparison, when moving faster, Uranus may spend only 2-3 weeks traversing one whole degree, and only a day or two in each minute. Further emphasizing this point, both Mercury and Mars made an exact trine to Uranus here as well in the days just after it stationed direct (and Venus will be trining Uranus a couple of hours after her Moon conjunction just a few minutes away).
The Sabian Symbol for Taurus 20 is “Wisps of winglike clouds streaming across the sky.” I am struck by the overtly spiritual symbolism found in both of these degrees, in the earthy signs of Capricorn and Taurus. How can we bring spirit more fully into matter, here, now in our own lives, accessing the blessings of the spiritual forces that surround us, just waiting to be asked?

Mars
Mars, continuing in his rebirth and growth phase after emerging from the Underworld in early January, emphasizes this echoing theme of grounded spirituality. At this same Venus Gate day (or the next, depending on your time zone) Mars meets up with the Moon at 26 Capricorn 13. The Sabian Symbol for Capricorn 27 is “Pilgrims climbing the steep steps to a mountain shrine.” Dane Rudhyar’s keynote is: “the ascent of the individualized consciousness to the highest realizations reached by the spiritual leaders of its culture,” and his key word is upreaching.
Mars is now within 10 degrees of Venus in the morning sky, moving towards their exact meeting on February 21st-22nd. On his way, he enters the sign of Aquarius on January 12/13, and catches up with Pluto the next day in the potent first degree of Aquarius. Venus follows suit a few days later, on February 17th.
Anchoring this potent mix, the New Moon on February 9th, at 20 Aquarius 41, offers us the Sabian Symbol of “A disappointed and disillusioned woman courageously faces a seemingly empty life.” Unpredictable Uranian energy continues to offer its gifts of unexpected shake-ups, as it squares this New Moon from determined Taurus. We are asked to meet whatever disruptive events life may bring us with all the integrity and compassion we can muster – remembering that character is forged through emotional crises.

On February 21/22 (depending on time zone), we come to a powerful culmination event: Venus and Mars meet in the morning sky at 06 Aquarius 57.
